What earns you a loyalty bonus? I've only been with them for this present 18m deal.

I would be interested in knowing how you get a loyalty bonus too. I've been with 3 for 5 years and they tell me I'm not eligible for any loyalty bonus. I'm guessing its something to do with sticking to the same tariff for a long time?

And does the thing of quoting another 3 number that got a good deal actually work?

I guess if they know you actually are aware of genuine deals being done then you aren't calling their bluff.

My Desire will be here tomorrow but I'm going to work on them again under threat of sending the thing back.

Would love to know how you managed to get them to send it so quick, they keep refusing to send mine earlier due to stock. But they obviously have some.

Seems to be that if you are lucky enough to have the discount they just take it off any price plan. As long as you don't change tariff that is...

i have been with 3 for 36 months,after my first 18 month contract i was offered an £8 discount on the second contract by retentions taking my mix/match 500 down to £10 a month from £18
the phone i choose was a nokia 6500 slider which kept dropping calls and not receiving texts (poor coverage)i phoned to complain and they gave me another £4 discount so i have been paying £6

Ah, that might be why they just offered me the Internet Texter 100 with a Nokia X6 for £26! Won't be taking that particular deal. I'll wait until there are 30 days left on my contract then call again. Unless I find something better in meantime.

I have the desire in my hands now (HTC branded box, phone unlocked and unbranded). Just waiting for the contract to roll over until the first of the month then the Internet kicks in.

They sent me through details of the new contract in writing as well and it is £17 a month on Internet Talker 500. Absolute bargain.
