Are you within the last 30 days of your contract? I found that the week before my last 30 days i was getting rubbish deals but as soon as I hit the magic 30 days the deals I was bing offered were much much better.

Yes. Contract ends next week and PAC code received.

Is it 'set in stone' now or worth another call?

Definately worth another call - you can always send the phone back or stop them from sending it.

I'll call them tomorrow.

Tell them unless they knock at least a couple of quid off per month they can keep it......I guess this sort of game can go on forever as only one person can have the best deal.

If the poster who got the £19 deal can pm me his mobile number I can quote that to them as proof such a deal can be done

OK now I know Ive got a STONKER of a deal.

Last week I got an upgrade including IPHONE for £28 per month mix and match 900 18 month contract.

Well today I gave 3 a call and said that I wanted to return the phone as it was just too much each month. I stated that I hadnt used the phone and it was still in its packaging.

He then offered me mix and match 500 for 24 months costing just £18 per month. Im well pleased with that - works out at £432 overall instead of £504.

My wife upgraded too and her Desire is on its way - I think I will do the same with that when it comes

The more I read the more I think I can get from 3. This £24pm for the Desire over 24m seemed a reasonable deal but perhaps they'll do better when I call tomorrow and say that I think I'll return the unopened handset to them.

How low can I reasonably expect to push them?

They wouldnt give me that deal...would only gve me internet talker 500 and as I am a texter I wanted one of the texter plans...even internet texter 100 would have done. They have offered me an add on of 1000 texts for a fiver. I took it as got fed up arguing. so I will be paying £22 for 500 mins mix/match and 1000 texts (in excess to what I need) (original deal £17 500 mix/match). Their sticking point was that I couldnt keep my discount if I change to another plan (am currently on 500 mix/match -the £10 glitch deal)

24 months? Again better than my 100 minutes (enough) with unlimited texts and internet for £24pm.

He assured me I was a 'very special customer' too.

My bad, its intenet talker. Basically mix and match 500 with Internet for £17 a month (£8 loyalty discount carried over from the £10 'glitch' M&M 500 tariff from 18 months ago.

Seems to be that if you are lucky enough to have the discount they just take it off any price plan. As long as you don't change tariff that is...
