Yes, I noticed that too - it used to be 1GB. I guess as more folks buy smartphones the networks are being hammered with YouTube downloads and apps so are reigning in the useage a little.
I also notice that whether you opt for their 'unlimited' internet service or the cheaper '500mb' internet option, both are actually 500mb services in the T&C, so is this a bit sneaky of 3 to suggests there are two options when there aren't?Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
The ironic part is that if you look on both the deals with 500mb or 'unlimited' internet, the small print for both says that they are subject to a fair use of 500mb a month so in effect there is no advantage of going for one over the other.
Of course, good luck to anyone who wants to phone up customer services and argue that with them after taking a screenshot of the page0 -
the three blog says they will charge 5£ for every additional bundle of 1gb internet addon that can be bought extra above the 500mb limit for new contracts
edit: the moderator on their blog has made a correction now that an add on bundle can be bought for 5£ a month, this bundle gives extra 2gb data and unlimited push mail and not 1gb as stated earlier on their blogbubblesmoney :hello:0 -
Just to let everyone know that 3 have changed their site and introduced new plans on the Desire this month. You can now get it from £17 a month (M&M100 + 500MB internet) upwards. This is much better than the deals they had on it last month.
The Hero is now from £16 a month (M&M100 + 500MB internet). For the extra pound I know what I would go for
Cheers for the information.
Might be worth my while ringing Three up and seeing if the Desire is available to me on upgrade now. Far far better pricing, and I cannot believe that they cant offer the Desire (at any price) to certain existing customers, but can do so for new ones.
As ever, I'll post the details on here after I've given them a call.0 -
Now that's more like it!
It's been a week since I got my PAC code, will give them a ring this week and see if I can score a deal.
Guess the Internet T&C's depend if it's a soft or hard cap, either way 500MB is not much for an Android device0 -
Just off the phone with 3, they rang me to sell an additional contract (thats in addition to the four I already have) and the best they could offer was the new deal above but at £19 per month (100 m+m with 500mb).
They said they couldn't match never mind beat the online price (although the did offer a £15 credit)
Girl was very helpful and after raising it with a supervisor said she will come back to me.

Can this add on be added/removed any time during the life of the contract?

the 2gb add on is only seen under the blackberry add on. so i dont know if this can be added on to the htc desire plans. please note that the pdf document says internet + push email of 2gb and not internet 2gb + unlimited push email as said by the moderator on three blog. looks like they are not sure themselves about the new pricing, but rest assured when they bill they will bill as per what the paperwork says.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
Just read through that PDF, pretty confusing, no wonder CS doesn't have a clue what's going on0
