IMO that is an good deal and if Android 2.1 comes to the Hero it will be even better.
How did you get the to offer you that? Ask for a deal on a HTC phone or just ask what deals they could offer?0 -
Please can someone let me know if the following deal is average/good/excellent.
Ive been with three since 17 months ago when there was the glitch on mix & match 500 tariff for £10 per month.anyway i called up to see what they could offer me to stay. After turning down so many offers from the sales person,he then offered me the following deal.
I was offered mix of 500 mins & texts anytime any network, unlimited 3 to 3 calls, unlimited internet, 30 free picture mails each month, free skype to skype calls, free twitter, free windows live messenger chats, 2 months free spotify, all this on 24 month contract, with a free HTC Hero and for £10 each month.
I took the offer and phone will be delivered on monday.
all replies welcomed.
thanks

I am on the same mix and match 500 which I also got 17 months ago via the same glitch.I have been on the phone to them today and the best they would offer me is on 300 mix & match with all the usual skype messenger etc. & internet with a Nokia 5230 for £10. This is not bad as I only use about 150 - 200 minutes anyway, but I wanted the re-furbished Nokia 5800 that they were offering to new customers on thier website yesterday for £10. They would not budge from £12 so I asked them formy PAC code. I will see if they come back to me, I will probably leave it and stay with my original deal until something better comes along if they don't0 -

I knew that three were not giving HTC desire for upgrades yet, so i asked for it.
They said its not available on my account but they could give me the HTC Hero, nokia 5230, i chose the hero.
then he offered me this deal.
thanks0 -
After all the problems I had with Three... I sent them an email... I got a call from the Executive Office. They "couldnt" offer me anything other that what was on the website. So I'm off to TMobile!0

Nice chap, first he asked me what kind of deals I'd seen, I was a little unprepared so I wasn't able to quote him anything particular. I asked him about the HTC Desire and he said it wasn't available.
He then offered me an "exceptional" deal on an HTC hero (which was extremely unexceptional, it seems to be the same as on the website), £25 p/m, 300 mins, unlimited txts / web, 24 month.
I told him I wasn't interested, and next he offered me an iphone 3gs 16GB for £35 p/m with 500 mins, unlimited txts / web, 24 month, £49 (I think) upfront cost for the handset. Seemed like a decent enough offer but I declined as I really wanted the HTC Desire.
The guy backtracked a bit and checked with his manager, he said that it was out of stock currently but he'll call me tomorrow (we'll see!).
My contract ends in 2 weeks and I just had a call from 3. I told them I'm leaving as I want an iPhone and they offered me a 16GB 3GS with 900 mins, unlimited txts/ and waived the £49 fee for £35 p/m). It was a 24 month contract though but she wouldn't budge on reducing the number of mins to reduce the monthly cost. I didn't even realise they were offering iPhones, they don't mention them on the website.
Anyone been offered a better retention deal?0 -
I called retentions today and they still said they had no Desires in until at least the end of the month. Instead they offered me:
Free Xperia X10
500 minutes
Unlimited txt
"Unlimited" internet
Free 3 to 3 and Twitter, etc
50 MMS
£22 a month.
I very nearly took it until I realised it was running Android 1.6 rather than 2.1Android 2.1 is meant to be coming to it in Q4 but I would want to play with the phone first before deciding.
Still think I should hold out for the Desire though.0 -
I called to cancel yesterday, I was on the £10 glitch 18 month contract, which I had upgraded a couple of times to get more minutes. At the end was paying £15 a month for 300 mins & u/l texts, 2000 3to3 mins.
Was offered the following which I accepted (Internet Talker 500)
Free Iphone 3gs 16gb 2yrs warranty
500 minutes x-network
Unlimited text's
Unlimited internet
Unlimited 3 to 3 calls
Free voicemail
Twitter, Skype & Messanger
£15 a month for 24 months (total cost £360).
Could sell the Iphone for £360 or more and use the money to pay the contract, in essence making the contract free.0 -
