I rang and was offered next to nothing so asked for my pac and the following day got a call offering me a new phone and deal on line rental but i dont mind how much i pay its the fact i wouldnt mind a good phone like the iphone or desire! Or if i am to stay a blackberry 9700 but a good deal on it!
Im not going to tell 3 that they offer the best signal in my area hence why i should stay with them. I think what i might do is wait till the end of the month and see if they get any new phones like the rumours suggest!
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz should be available on 3 in March, at present they have dummy phones in the 3 shops in preparation for the release and delivery of the Vivaz, looks good fairly good spec, more details on the link below.

For those trying to get an HTC out of retentions then this thread on HDUK might be of interest.

I'm currently paying £35pm to 3 and the the 18 month contract is close to expiry.
I'm getting calls from them that I ignore almost every day as I'll speak to them when I want not when they want.
Tactically how do I play this to get the best deal?
Bear in mind that with Quidco and some of the dealers offering consoles which I've had in the past it seems to me that they will have to go some to keep me.
Don't need many more than 200 minutes. Unlimited texts a must. Will go to 18m again for the right deal.
Any ideas?0 -

I got a call from retentions offering same minutes etc, new phone,150.00 Comet voucher and at just under half the price that I had been paying
I have done the same now with the second phone which was due for an upgrade recently. I got a call from retentions after a few days but their offer was nowhere near as good. I refused and am now wondering if they ever call back a second time with an improved offer or d'you think that's it now...? I'm wondering if they're looking at what happened with my other phone and calling my bluff.
Any thoughts?
Anyone ...? :undecided0 -

Welcome.
My contract is up in April too. I use my phone mainly for Internet and a few texts, but the retentions people tried to sell me the £10 SIM only deal which doesn't even give Internet use! They said that is £5 extra, so £15 a month. That doesn't suit me at all, and the offers from the retentions people were the same as new customers get on the website anyway (plus they can have referral bonuses and Topcashback/Quidco - if Three pay out that is).
In the end I have decided to move to PAYG and top-up £15 every three months, using that credit to pay for 3 x 30 days unlimited Internet. I then get unlimited 3-to-3 calls and 1000 texts for free (valid 90 days), so that suits me fine.0 -
I hadn't considered the PAYG option after coming off my contract. I don't use my phone that much and most of the people I call are on 3 anyway so that looks like a good deal compared to the contracts. The only thing I don't get is a new phone...0

Most of the contracts are £15-a-month for 18-months, so that is £270 which is a lot just to get a free handset.
Three's PAYG handsets start at £30, with some decent offers in the refurbished ones such as a T715 for £58.50. You can get £8 cash back from Topcashback or Quidco in theory, although Three often do not pay out.
If you topped up £10 every 90 days (to get the unlimited 3-to-3 calls, 600 texts and 150MB Internet) that would work out £60 over 18-months.0 -
The phone I have (k660i) might be old but its fine for what I use it for. I am beginning to miss the lack of Internet and don't want to pay for it so dropping off the end of the contract to PAYG is appealing as its cheaper and you get the free internet allowance.0
