just spoke to them today and to be honest they speak crap most of the time. told them to get some good handset on display before you can speak of tarrif.I told them they got nothing in comparison with anyother network.Even tesco got iphone (LOL) and you stuck with hero where htc HD2 is available.

Fade up with 3...... either it gotta cheap rental to keep or nothing.

No phone upgrade, I'm on £15 Talker but only paying £10 (250 mins 50 txts) and, not that surprising, there is not much use for mins/txts I'll probably go PAYG.

Speaking to someone in store on Saturday, she reckoned it could be before Christmas before they are actually selling the Desire at 3 due to 'their extensive' testing.

Not sure how true that may prove to be but something to bare in mind.

Contract expires on 27th March was offered SE c903 currently have SE c902 and as there's not a huge difference in the 2 phones so I refused the upgrade offer
Asked for a SE w995 on current plan which they refused, they offered me SE w995 with 300 anytime minutes plus 300 3 to 3 minutes for £25 per month which is c...p as I can get a better deal from them as a new customer with same phone for £23.50 per month also Quidco and mate would get recommend a friend.
Was then offered my PAC code... when I refused their offer even though I haven't reached the 30 day notice point, seems like they couldn't get rid of me fast enough even though I spent a lot of money "Roaming" with 3 while overseas for 2 months last year.
Found a good deal with mobileshop.com which I will likely go for SE w995 600 mins 300 texts + internet use £20 p/m

My contract ends on the 11th of March and I want to cancel. Would I be right in thinking that because I'm in the 30 day notice period there would be no problem and I wouldn't have had to tell them on the 11th of Feb? Also, If I go on to one of their 1 month contract sim only deals would I get a new sim card and keep my number etc automatically or would it need to be ported? Their handset range really is abysmal, nothing there to tempt me. I'll have to switch to T-Mobile to get an HTC Desire I think.

I'm sure that you will have to give them 30 days notice.
As for the sim, they might just update the sim you have? When you hand in your notice then they will advise you on whether or not they will send out a new sim, if you are leaving your present mobile number with 3 and changing onto pay as you go then I'd imagine they will just update your sim when your current contract ends.

Anyone had any good offers from the retentions team? I rang and was offered next to nothing so asked for my pac and the following day got a call offering me a new phone and deal on line rental but i dont mind how much i pay its the fact i wouldnt mind a good phone like the iphone or desire! Or if i am to stay a blackberry 9700 but a good deal on it!

Im not going to tell 3 that they offer the best signal in my area hence why i should stay with them. I think what i might do is wait till the end of the month and see if they get any new phones like the rumours suggest!
