Ive just been on to 3 today and been given something called a Sim £15
This is 300 minutes, 3000 texts and unlimited internet. This means keeping my existing phone with upgrade option in May when my contracts up. Im well happy with that0 -
i am now within 3 months of the end of my contract ( 29/5 ). i called the upgrade squad and got the spiel of good customer, loyal.... yada yada yaaa and they asked what phone i want - to be honest i dont care but i would like to move from my old tarrif that gives me 5 pounds of free music downloads a month to free tinterweb. after a lot of minutes going yes, no, no, no, yes...... they came out with the yes, with the same tarif you can have this wonderful phone with all the features you want ...... for only a one off fee of 69.99
HUH??!!!!
there was not one tarrif that they would give me a free phone on! the best they could do is tell me to phone back in a couple of months to see if there was a better deal on offer.
what is that about???? you offer a good deal to existing customers you dont have churn, you dont need to buy new customers..... do these companies want business or what??2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0 -
I was due for an upgrade in November but was really disatisfied with what I was being offered. Decided to wait to give a month's notice and leave in Feb. Iam am currently on 1100 mix and match for £20 with 300 3 to 3 (dis!!!!ed offer from £27 18 months ago). I don't really use all these but happy to pay £20 if I have to in order to retain a good amount just in case I use on occasions. Type of phone is not a big deal - I don't have to have the latest as long as it's reliable, easy to use, good battery etc.
Rang again last week to check out offers; spoke to three different people and again, not impressed. I wasn't offered a good deal and could have had just the same a s new customer. (credo80 - you have to push hard, get to speak to someone else and basically be prepared to leave) I asked to be put through to someone who could give me my PAC code; he again tried to get me to sign up to somethign that wasn't particularly good. I said I would think about it and he said ne would phone me back in a few hours. Meanwhile, I decided I would definately leave when he rang back.
Some time later another guy rang me; I explained I was not happy with the offers. To cut a long story short he offered me as follows:
SE T715
1100 mix and match
300 3 to 3
unlimited internet
12 months contract
I thought this was ok I have signed up and received my phone last night. My problem now is I can't take the back off the phone to put the battery in. Have tried all sorts and will have to take it to a 3 shop today to try. May end up sending it back so will end up with another pulaver of getting a replacement.
My experience:- not really impressed with call handlers; very pushy and appear to be rude at times. I do not think I have ever spoken to someone in the UK. I would have left this time and may not have had such a good deal
- I am happy with my deal as it compares favourably with others I have seen - better in most cases
- signal has been good for me

My phone contract with 3g is due to expire in one month exactly with 3g. I pay £27/month on the mix and match 1100 tariff. Ideally I would prefer to say with 3g, if they offer me a decent upgrade deal. but so far all they have offered me is exactly what they would offer a new customer. £25/ month 500 minutes any time any network unlimited internet and the HTC Hero free (the best phone they seem to have available) on a 24 month contract. This is the same offer available to everyone. This doesnt seem right as I have had 7 contracts with them. A minimum of £2500 has to gone to them over the course of these, I have worked out. Surely I deserve a discount? I asked the agent on the phone I would consider the above contract if they gave it me it on an 18 month contract, but she insisted that there would a £150 handset charge. Anyone got any advice? Or should I just put in my 30 days notice and hope before it expires they offer me a better deal? thanks in advance.0

I called 3 to cancel this week, they asked me what it was I was looking for and I told then the Satio is appealing to me, one reason being the large screen, so the guy offered me a Nokia X6 saying it was a brilliant phone, boasted how of 12 people he'd spoke to that day 3 of them had taken it! Doesn't sound like a great ratio to me!
The deal was £25 per month, 500 mins, unltd texts and internet, the usual 300 3 to 3 as well. So I said I'd like to look at it first, so fired up the laptop there and then, went to the 3 store and the hot deal on main page was just the exact offer he'd made me! So its hardly an extra special deal to a customer of 4 years or so. I pointed this out and he said although its on website not everyone can have it but only certain customers....what a load of tosh :rotfl:
The phone and deal itself did appeal, I would have just hoped a valued customer might be offered something a little better, but decided to give it some serious thought anyway. After reading last few pages I think I'll just tell them where to go, see if they offer discount or any other incentives, and if not go get one of these phones elsewhere for the same £25, only with the possibility of cashback. I had hoped to avoid seeing out the 30 day notice period and having to port number, but can live with that if needs be.
With regards to cashback can anyone confirm that you can get cashback from TCB/Quidco and the like on top of the cashback the retailer offers for signing up to contract, like Beepy for example?0 -
You cannot rely on Quidco/Topcashback. Soemtimes it doesn't track and you won't get anywhere with enquiries. I did my first 3 contract via Quidco; three years on still no cashback and they have closed the enquiry.
As for other cashback - E2save etc - I have also done these over the years. They can be a pain and on my last one I never received the last cashback despite several phone calls etc. My advice is to see the cashback as a bonus and never sign up for a contract (real terms) more than you want to pay.0 -
i got the x6 on an upgrade yesterday on 500 mix and match with internet for 17.50 also an 18month contract0
