Select 'My account' then 'Upgrade' under the options menu. Recently it has been saying there is a 'fault' so you cant upgrade online. I suspect this is to get you to call them rather than they call you automatically.
  • Evening All,

I am coming to the end of my current 18 month contract (1st April) I quite fancy the HTC Hero and on looking online I would be able to get
    750 mins
    unlimited texts
    unlimited web
    18 month contract

for monthly fee of £23.45 plus £5 (web add-on)

I think that is pretty good but as I have been with 3 for about six or seven years I am thinking that I must be due at least a slight discount.

I dont really need the 750 mins but I note that the 500 mins deal is £25 a month but is 24 month and there is no way im signing up to a 24 month contract.

Has anyone negotiated a good deal recently, if so what have you got.

P.s I note these deals are due to expire as of 28 February do you think there will be anything better or am I aswell getting the deal when my upgrade is due which is 23 February.

    Thanks for any replies
  • They offered me £150 for the Blcakberry, 300 anytime minutes, 300 3 to 3 for £15 per month. I declined and asked for my PAC!

They need to give me a much BETTER deal if I am to stay as I have been on 1100 mix for £20 a month and only ever use 300 of my minutes. My bills are always at least £40 a month, lately climbing to £60 at least.

They have been offering me rubbish deals too. Offered me a simliar tarrif to the one you mentioned, but with internet add on and with no phone. The internet add on is only useful to me if im given a phone which will make use of it. The funny thing is, my current tarrif gives me more mins and I pay less then £15 a month. I asked them what deals can they offer me on the blackberry or hero and they said these phones can't be added to you account? Told them to stop wasting my time and give me my PAC. Hoping rententions call me soon and offer me something decent. Been with 3 for a long time and would ideally like to stay with them, but if they are going to treat me like an idiot I rather just leave.

I am hanging on for retentions too but not for too long as I saw a great deal on phoneboxmobiles. Blackberry bold 2 9700 for £25 pm, 400 mins, 300 texts, unlimited push email and 500MB internet. Plus £70 cashback including quidco!

Thats a good deal on the Hero. I would be happy if they offer me something similar.
  • I have two '3' mobile contracts - I asked to cancel when trying to negotiate a good deal on one a few months ago (thanks to all you helpful people on here!) and it paid off. I got a call from retentions offering same minutes etc, new phone,150.00 Comet voucher and at just under half the price that I had been paying :)

I have done the same now with the second phone which was due for an upgrade recently. I got a call from retentions after a few days but their offer was nowhere near as good. I refused and am now wondering if they ever call back a second time with an improved offer or d'you think that's it now...? I'm wondering if they're looking at what happened with my other phone and calling my bluff.

    Any thoughts?
  • my contract has now ended
went to pay as u go
never had a call from them

    there loss

Just read today that 3 are having the Desire from it's launch at the beginning of April. Might be worth hanging on a bit to see what deals they'll offer on it.
