I was under the impression that this was not the case and you switched to a one month rolling one. They rang yesterday with a retention deal and I mentioned that my contract had run out in September and the operator said that I had a contract until October 2010!!! I didn’t have time to argue yesterday as I was busy but will call back today.
I already have 500 mins/100 texts for £15/month and they offered me:
For £20/month - unlimited BB data and the Bold 9700 for free
Or for £15/month – unlimited internet and either the HTC Hero/Nokia E71 for free
Which offer should I take?
was just in a 3 store today speaking with manager as due an upgrade he was telling me to hang on about a month as all the new phones are being shown in germany by the manufacturers now he reckons in one month there will be even better deals. plus also he was telling me they are currently testing the i-phone which will be out shortly as well.
currently on 500mins £15 pm looking for better deal they did have last week 700mins £15.75 use as texts or calls but ended earlier in week and i only found out last night well looks like i wait a month or so as better handsets or better contracts
hope this helps
some of you0 -

Thanks for that...I might just hold on. Though my chances of getting the latest handset free of charge won't be too high...!0 -
Indeed, Mobile World Congress is in a week's time and manufacturers sometimes use this event to showcase or launch their latest models. I would agree it's worth waiting for the end of the month.0

Today is the first day of my 3 month upgrade 'period' so waiting for the inevitable call from India to see what they have on offer.
Good to see that the HTC is available for £15 a month with unlimited internet as that is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for (currently on M&M 500 for £10 a month thanks to the 'error' the online store had a year ago)0 -

Good luck - as mentioned in another thread they don't do early upgrades any-more. Maybe you will be lucky.0 -
Oh, on My3 is says I can upgrade from today. No matter as I wasn't planing to change until the end of the contract anyway.0

I've left 3 to go with Orange.
Managed to get a Blackberry Bold 9700 with 400 mins, 300 text, all blackberry services/Internet, on an 18 month contract for 22.50 a month. They also waived the phone fee and gave me a credit of £30 on my account, which effectivley takes the monthly price down to £20.83.
Pretty good deal I thought. I didnt want to leave 3 after being with them for over 5 years but I had no choice in the end; the deals they offered were not good enough.0 -
