ARGH!!! I Hate 3 customer service!! Just was on the phone for 40 mins trying to cancel the contract and when i went he gave me a blooming PAC code so i would have to call up again in a month to cancel again... I specifically asked not to have one!! So called up again straight away to correct it.
Me and a friend both got 18 month contracts with 3 (17 months ago) exactly the same phone and everything,
When canceling he was offered £5 a month +£25 cash back a month or so ago (which he took), when i called i was offered £10 with no cash back... So i though i would try calling again later, which i did and got the same £10pm. Then i called up today (exactly a month till my contract ends) and they offered me £18 a month!!!! When my friends getting it for less than £5 with exactly the same minutes and texts etc etc.
Then it took 40 minutes to cancel, and then i was given a PAC so i had to call again to rectify that.. I REALLY dislike 3 at the moment (not the staff (except for hte guy who kept me on for so long, i think i was to nice on reflection) - just policy!)
Now i am going to be phoneless, (i am student with little money, hence why i am sooooooooooo gutted that my mate is getting £5 a month:(
Anyone got anything the encouraging for me? It looks like there is no way i can get what he has been offered. I would like a contract phone, but money is the priority)0 -
find out from your mate the name of the advisor he spoke to.
then call up and ask to be tranferred to that advisor
and then ask for the same deal
might work, no harm in trying0 -

Probably because you use your phones different amounts.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -

Possibly but not necessarily. Around a month ago everyone was being offered £5 per month (some with 5 months free too), so you must of been unlucky who you spoke to at the time. Now £10 per month seems to be the best they are willing to offer.
I got £5 per month with 5 months free just over a month ago and I NEVER spend over my free allowances....0 -

You'd be wasting your time I'm afraid; when they phone you it's from Scotland (Edinburgh, I think) but when you phone them you get an Indian call centre.
My change over to the deal I took has gone smoothly. My wife's (whose contract expired at exactly the same time and who accepted the same deal) has been a nightmare. She's been massively overcharged, had no allocated minutes/texts, etc. We've given up trying to seek any help from their customer services and I've written to the Chief Exec.Started comping for 2012. Won: iPad 2 - thanks SueMaggie; 10,000 Tesco Clubcard Points - thanks Maybe1; HABA Terra Kids Construction Set - thanks purplevamp.:beer:0 -
bump - I've got 2 weeks left before my ctt ends, have given notice..
Anyone got anything good offered in the last few days ?? was going to wait 'till last minute to call them back to swap SIM to payg but could do with getting it sorted earlier if poss...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I was offered a FREE Nokia 6120 500 x-net mins 100 texts for just £10 a month on a 12 month contract. I was tempted but told 3 it was too late as I've got a new phone and contract with Vodafone. They also offered 500 x-net mins and 100 texts with no new phone for £5 a month on a 12 month contract.
I would have been happy to upgrade on M&M 700 with the new LG U990 but I was initially offered the tariff with the £9 compulsory video minute add on. No customer loyalty discount after 5 years with 3 which is why I'm now with Vodafone through M2YD. I was eventually offered the LG U990 with M&M 700 for just £21 which I would have been happy with if I hadn't taken the new contract with Vodafone.0 -
I had another bizarre conversation with 3 retentions. Despite the fact I wanted a sim only deal I was offered three deals with phones. Also offered me free 2000 landline minutes when I just about use my allocation of 750 mins at the moment.
I cheekily asked about the Viewty & was told that I would not be suitable for a discount although I have two contracts with them for over three years.
I have my PAC & I`m off, goodbye 3:p0 -
Seems like 3 retentions are pretty inconsistent.0
