I just got 200 minutes and 100 texts for £5 a month but I have to keep the same phone for a year. After the year I can stay on the same price but get a new phone too

The catch is your tied with 3 for a year, hoping for a good handset upgrade next year, but after 12 months time, it's likely that you will be offered a handset retailing free on any new contract, for £99.99 or some ridiculous amount. And just to make matters worse, the same handset will probably be cheaper to buy off eBay cheaper offline/simfree!

Is there a way to ring this team directly to discuss the better deals available ? (other than waiting until your contract is due for renewal)

any one rang up since the new plans have come out to see what offers they can get as at the moment ive been offered something similar to what their website shows but with £2 a month knocked off

I tried the Cambridge 3 shop and all they could offer was 100 minutes and 100 texts per month -£20/month and no new phone,so unless 3 customer service comes up with something a lot better I am off to O2 in 9 days time.

I ordered my PAC the other day. Told the CS I was after a 12 months deal with no phone. Then offered me three different deals with different phones

I told her that I didnt need a new phone, on hold for a couple of minutes, then given PAC :think:

I will wait a week before PAC expires, if theres no change then I`m off to O2.

I've already jumped to 02 in the last week,because 3's deals and service were useless.

They even managed to stop 3 customers ringing me,when my number port was going through, (My wife still is a 3 customer.) and even after disbelieving me about this problem,they tried ringing me themselves,to try and prove ME wrong.However it backfired when they had to ring my landline number to contact me.:rotfl:

I'm pleased to say,it's all sorted now.

flexo - I rang to give my notice today, bloke's best offer was se Z610i (I like flips) on M&M 300 for £13 pm for 18 mths - how poor is that?? said I didn't need a phone my nice U880 is still going strong, best no-phone offer was 300mins + 150 txts for £10 pm.

Looks like I'm going back to simply3G for another cashback plus qiodco unless anything better comes from 3 by 8 Nov......
