quentin - let's hope the 7 day rule still works in a week's time - 500 + 100 for a fiver would do me nicely...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
think i had the 7 day team ring me up today. the best they could offer me was £3 off what i could find on their websiteDont forget to thank me if it helps0

The people you get when you ring up don't have the best offers.
You need to await a call from the "special" retention dept (around 7 days before your contract is due to end). They will make best deals - with stories like "we have a special offer only for our best customers who have never defaulted on a bill" (difficult as we pay by direct debit).
I would be tempted to ring back a few times (different people and different dates) as its not only the people that ring you back that have great deals!0 -
Jazzy - yeah, was thinking of doing that, the old "put me on PAYG and give me a PAC, please" routine, see if that opens their generosity gates or not...if that don't work, it's back to the web and the horrors of cashback............Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Had a offer I couldn't refuse, FREE N95 on mix and match 700 without any further add-on with the option to upgrade after 15 months. Just £26 a month including my unlimited internet add-on. I get broadband speeds with the N95 and the web browsing is as good as using my laptop at home.
I've now lost total faith in cash back deals, I'm in the process of sending back my recent M2YD order. The web browsing on the Motorola Razr2 was similar to using wap on a Nokia 3310 about 6 years ago, shocking!!0 -
I had requested my PAC after I couldnt get a decent deal out of them. Another 10 days to go before the PAC Expires, still waiting for their call.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0

3 three contracts - all in my name - all expired at end october after 30 days notice - all three phones dead on 27th - not a hint of a call from 3 retentions before or after - looks like their not interested in keeping customers any more - on payg now0

Give them a call back before the phone is disconnected you've got nothing to lose, make sure you speak to disconnections. Don't go through to upgrades or you will be offered a rubbish deal. It worth a phone call just to see if they can offer you something better. Just tell them what you want that's what I did. I stood my ground and ended up with a really good deal.
Let us know how you get on.0 -
Spent an hour on the phone to 3 retentions yesterday - ctt ends on 7 Nov - and nothing better than available on website was offered. Heavy users may have got something out of it (one of the offers was 2000 extra mins per month for about £25 a month if i remember rightly) but no good for me. Back to the retailers and see what I can get.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Just called a few minutes ago. My 12 month contract came to an end last Friday. I told the customer rep I wanted to leave Three for the O2 £15 sim only deal. Whilst I tried to explain the benefits of being on a 30 day contract and the fact that I didn't need a new phone, he wanted reasons from me why I didn't want to go on to a 18 month contract! I would have thought that having a 30 day notice period would have been good reason enough! I was hoping to get some mention of a retention deal but after 30 mins nothing and I was given my PAC code.
Given I am now outside of my contract and I can use my PAC at anytime within the next 30 days do you think they will call me sharpish to offer me a good sim only deal (like the £5 one that is being mentioned)?
I wait with baited breath - although I don't think I'm losing out that much if I do hop on to the £15 O2 sim only deal...0
