3 Retention Deals

Yes its down0

You have to go to Cancellations rather than retentions/upgrade for the best deals. If you can give details of a great deal elsewhere, they often put you on hold and come back with a deal to match. If you know they stock a phone, find an online deal as a bargaining chip and haggle like mad!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I spoke to 3 today and they are a strange bunch. I asked if I could keep my £10 loyalty discount and move to another higher tariff and she says no it is only on the old tariff which I get 250 mins and 50 texts for £15 -£10 dsicount = £5. However I use internet aswell so pay for an addon.
Anyway she wouldn't budge so asked for a PAC code and she says that why I had previously asked for a PAC code and not used it...and I said thats my choice and she says it doesn't look good if I keep doing that! WHAT!!!0 -
im on the same pan vtt500, i got a choice of upgrading to a 12m or 18m contract and any phone i chose was free
)
Interesting. I just called up (regular upgrades) and was told
- I could not extend on VTT500
- I couldn't have a HTC hero
- Only real option was Satio at 19.57 on talk/text 300
Not interested. I won't play the cancel card since I still have until mid Feb 2010 for my current contract to end. I suspect this is why I don't have any decent offers yet.
Online I am offered to "upgrade" to VTT500 but no phones are listed as options.
So
- were you in the final month of your contract?
- what did you call/do to get this offer. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

Ask for a pac code they might change their tune! Thats what you ask for when you are moving to another network.
I'm still several months away from end of contract. I could offer to pay up, but will probably just wait until I'm in the final month, by which time there may be some new handsets around.
Would rather like the N900 or Moto droid, or perhaps the HTC Hero. Only the last of those is currently available on 3UKWhat goes around - comes around

Just come off the phone to 3 retentions and he is adamant that the g2 touch IS NOT the same phone as the htc hero... Was very surprised by his claim but is it true?
One of the things he said was different is that the hero has 16million colour screen whereas the g2 touch has only 65k plus slight difference in size and weight.
He offered me
Hero free was £98 (he claims)
700mins
unlimited 3 to 3
unlimited texts
unlimited 3gb internet
2 Year warranty (faults and defects, is this standard manufacturers warranty?)
£25 worth extras inc 2gb memory card/data cable (is this not standard?)
All for £34 on a 24 month plan (with chance to upgarde after 20 months)
I was planning on going straight to t-mobile but he has put doubts in my head about these 2 phones, is he lying to keep me as a customer?0
