3 Retention Deals

I upgraded yesterday, have kept my 1100 mix and match minutes and free 3 to 3 minutes but now have unlimited internet access (worth £10 apparently) and a new phone Sony Ericsson C903 on an 18 month contract for the same price of £19.40.
No way would he let me have a nokia, just hope this phone's ok as the reviews are not consistant - seems you either get a good phone or a bad un!0 -
Pretty sure the guy was lieing to you about the hero/G2. They are the same phone as far as I know.
And that doesnt sound a great deal. I wouldn't accept and if he is proven to be lieing make sure you tell him that and you expect much better than what he is offering. What stage are you in your contract. I am possibly going to go for Hero when I upgrade but no way am I going to pay more than £25 or for more than 18m.
If you still have a coupld of months to wait then I would wait. Just be patient and end up paying a lot less.0 -
Well i decided to ring htc direct and ask them about the two phones, and they stated that the hardware is identical but software will ovbiously be different, with t mobiles stamp on it , he was also foreign so hard to understand and didn't know what i was talking about when I tried asking about the 3 network.
Did however get in touch with t-mobiles sales team and have been offered
G2 Touch
800mins
500txts
Unlimited internet
£25 pm (although have seen it for £21.50 pm)
Need to confirm that it is an 18 month contract when they ring back.
Think it's going to be hasta la vista '3'.0 -
I am curious to know how people have managed to get decent retention offers...are you asking for a pac code or 30 day terminations? I have tried cancellation and pac codes couple of times and get no decent offers.0

Can anyone advise me on getting a handset out of 3... My son broke his a few weeks ago, is not due an upgrade for over a year and they want an arm and a leg for another handset
It is really frustrating to think am tied to a contract paying for something he cant use without forking out loads for a new handset!!!In 2010 I intend to lose 36.5lbs and gain 365 £s

To be fair you'd have this problem with any network - it isn't their fault the phone was broken.
Have a look at the PAYG phones on the Three store website - Three are offering £18 cashback through TopCashback.co.uk - making the cheapest phone £12. Hardly expensive0 -
I have a month left before I can really go for a goof retention offer. I would stay with three if they could offer Hero etc for £25 or under but am temted to move carriers. three i get good signal etc in certain parts of my house. I dont get anything where my mum and dad live.
Still tempted with HD2 from o2 but have settled default with them from about 5 yrs ago :mad:0 -

Offered HTC Hero, 500 mins/ 3000 texts/unlimited internet/ 18 month contract for £22.50 per month plus £88 upfront for phone. Accepted - as internet allowance and cost of buying out contract plus hassle of switching number outweigh the upfront cost!
Had an interesting call from 3 today, they claimed whoever had given me this deal was unauthorised to do so! As I already had unlimited texts, they would have to charge me £5 per month for an unlimited web bolt-on.
I rejected this and said the verbal contract was for both being unlimited and I refused to pay any more for their staff error. If they wanted to breach the contract they could have the phone back and I would switch networks. Put on hold for a few mins then told the supervisor would authorise it after all.
It will be interesting to see exactly what my next bill includes!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
