  • I rang up 3 many times and the last time i rang them got the best deal which was 900 mix and match with free internet add on, with a nokia 5800 all in for about £17-£18 plus £30 credit on my bill. I never took it. I have rang up saying another networtk offer me better deal and they always offer me same tariff with some bogus phone and 180 comet vouchers, that is always the first offer. I always decline as i have no use for these vouchers, then they make me hold for ages while she talks to supervisor, then manager, then area manager. At one point i asked her to stop messing about and talk to the CEO to give me good deal but never got that far. I still want a better deal but dont think im gona get a better deal than 900 mix and match with internet and nokia 5800 for about £17 something? I will try again tomorrow i reckon, see what else they got new. WARNING if you going to see what offer they have though, be prepared to be on the phone for at least about an hour for a half decent deal!

I've just did my upgrade online now :)

    Sony Ericsson t715 on Mix & Match 500 - £5.38/month + £20 Promotional Accessory Voucher

I had a £8 Loyalty Discount from my last contract + the current offer on the SE T715 (25% off) = £5.38/month + free phone and £20 voucher.

I've called 3 customer support, but for the same contract they would charge me £18/month (losing my loyalty discount).

If you upgrade online don't forget to chat online with one of the "expert advisors" and they will offer you the promo code (£20 accessories).

I did this and am awaiting the first bill, you will have to chase it up I bet they will try to charge more. As for the £20 accessories voucher you aren't allowed that it's for new customers.

I think they will do this price, I have another contract with them, did about one year ago. Three website had an error and the mix and match 500 plan was selling at £10 instead of £18 and they applied the price plus introduce a friend discount and £20 voucher.

For the £20 voucher for my current contract I don't know if its for new customers only or not, but I applied the voucher to my upgrade and got the confirmation message on my e-mail containing the voucher. I will receive the phone on monday and I will let you guys know....

Lady_K, I found my loyalty discount on the upgrade page on the three website (my three)....
  • Whats the best deal around without a new phone? I don't really need a new phone so can I get a better deal?

Where exactly does it show you your loyalty discount in your account please?

Mine is shown here. It doesn't offer me a loyalty discount on any of the other tariffs (apart from the £15 texter plan for £10).

Thankyou, How long have you been with them for to get that loyalty discount and was this the plan you were already on?

By the way do you get free 3 to 3 calls on tha one too?
    Thanx

I've been with Three for 4.5 years (with 3 different phones), on this tariff for 2.5 years (and the one before had a huge Three-credit equal to half price line rental). I do add the internet add-on at £5 a month but I don't think that wins any extra retention discounts.

I don't make them an awful lot of money - I assume my discount is based on loyalty rather than revenue. I would probably pay the same on my useage pattern on payg (get more texts and enough Mb data for £10 a month) - I certainly wouldn't sign up for another contract unless it was a good bargain :)

No I don't get free 3-3 calls or free voicemail in the VTT tariff.
  • Hi, I called up 3 to check what they could offer me as I am due an upgrade.

    I was offered:
    Nokia 5800
3 year warranty on the phone
    8 GB memory card
    500 Mix & Match units
    300 3 to 3 minutes

    All these for 22 pounds/month
18 months contract- eligible for upgrade at the end of 14 months.

I'm not sure whether to accept the deal. What do you guys think?
Is it a good deal? If not what else can I ask for? I have asked for 24 hours to think about it.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't accept it, is that deal from retentions? It's only £23 a month on the website and you could go through quidco and get cashback.
