WARNING: Scammers pretending to be from Three are trying to make you change your contract. I got a call from 07827278902 talking about upgrading. I asked the guy if he was from Three and he mumbled something about "only operating with the three network". So I asked him when my contract expired and he came up with the wrong month. I told him it was the wrong month and he told me it wasn't. I told him not to lie and he said he wasn't. So I told him to ply an honest trade and he hung up on me!

got a call from this number today asking about renewing contract.
He didn't know when my contract was due for renewal.
I then spoke to three, in India. Very helpfull.
The call was actually from a dealer, "choice Mobiles".
He gave me their number but he's put one digit too many in.
He gave me 07870 0665916. I assume one too many 0's.

My wife has the samsung soul and isn't terribly happy with it. For a "state of the art phone" I think Samsung forgot a few features before they let it leave the factory.
Looks pretty but not worth the price tag in my opinion!

you might find 3 removed them from the operating system
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Yet another call from the nice gent at 3 tonight. Still only offering me the same deal as on website, but now with a £10 one off goodwill gesture for the hassle Ive had. Spent 15 minutes trying to explain about Quidco, but customer services dont seem to understand the concept at all. As I explained to him, I dont need to keep my number, dont mind being credit checked, but I can get a cashback for taking out the same deal he's offering me. Still swaying towards Virgin's rolling contract.....

I've ditched 3 and opted for the Virgin £10 per mth 200mins / 200 txts.

I've arranged to port my number over from 3.

3 have not bothered to call me.
  • Hi Chrissy

I've been checking out virgin v 3 and on comparing can get the same deal with the Nokia phone I want cheaper with virgin, so in 2 months time will transfer my (small) business to virgin. Unless of course things change!

    Try this http://www.mobilephonechecker.co.uk/

Good luck with your deal ;)

Looks like 3's loss is Virgin's gain! I was with Virgin prior to 3, and was very happy with them. (I only changed because 3 offered more minutes at the time.) I had a pay as you go phone with Virgin on which the battery died 4 months after the warranty ran out. Phone had been discontinued and I couldnt find a battery anywhere. Guys in the Virgin store not only traced a new battery for me, they replaced it free of charge. That instance of good customer service really stayed with me...

  • I managed to cancel my 3 contract with the withdrawl of 3 like home.

A "special team" from Three phoned me and after a bit of negotiation, I managed to get:

For £9.79 per month (for life!)

    750 mins
150 texts (not so great but im a talker not a texter)
£20 account credit (so 2 months free line rental essentially)
    50 video minutes
£5 of downloads from the 3 site
    A sony ericsson G502

Not too shabby, for the same money they also offered 1000 texts and 300 mins but i went with the above.

I've started a thread on HUKD but can't post links due to first post!

    Hi

I’m out of my 500 mix & match 18 month contract on 1st June and, judging by the replies here, it seems unlikely that 3 will offer me anything over and above what is on offer on their web-site. In this case should I just ask for a PAC, transfer to a non-3 network for a couple of weeks and in the meantime sign up to 3 again via quidco, as that seems to be the only way to save something by renewing?

    Thanks!

Sounds a good idea to me, but do wait until towards the date of PAC expiry before using it, as they tend to call you sometime around then with the best deals, if they're going to at all.
