Cheaper line rental is definitely possible. I was offered £5 loyalty discount, so could have got Mix&Match300 for £10 pm, with LG Viewty handset free and E71 for £2 extra.
For some strange reason they don't appear to do any upgrade deals without handset unless you go sim only, but you lose the loyalty discount.0 -

Yup, unlike EVERY other network, 3 supposedly decided not to give credit to bills instead of taking a new phone because, they claim, lots of people were getting half way through their new contracts and their old phones would break. Yeah right.
Look, you are not entitled to a retentions deal, you are still in your minimum term, why not stop spouting rubbish in this thread until you are entitled to a deal? If you are not offered one THEN, by all means start complaining. Your posts are bordering on spam now.0 -

Jeez, Im almost scared to post anything now in case Im bordering on spam too! (I HAVE come to the end of my contract, and havent been offered one, so hope its ok to moan lol!) Just had a letter from 3 thanking me for staying with them (sent the day after I cancelled my upgrade and gave them notice!) and confirming that I owed them £20 for the pleasure of receiving the Samsung Soul which they had originally offered at £80, then £5, then eventually free-no mention of £20!!!)) What a cheek! Looks like its back on the phone for hours again tomorrow just to confirm they have actually cancelled!0 -

Not at all
I was only talking about that one specific poster who has been moaning about it for a good while now whilst still in their minimum contract period, therefore they have no idea on what they will or will not be offered when it becomes time for them to try retentions0 -
Sorry didn't realise this thread was exclusively for those whom you deem to be allowed to discuss 3 retentions deals. That last post was simply repeating what I was told when I spoke to retentions WHEN I LAST UPGRADED through them last year, for your information, and for the information of the poster before. Is that ok with you?0

call them and tell them in the last month and you will have to give 30days notice. so if you time it right call 30days before your contract ends.QuidcoPaid;£989.08
Total Earnt:£1061.590 -
ring them up 30 days before your contract ends and say you would like pay as you go and they will talk for ages about why you shouldnt do it and then eventually if your lucky do it!0

Thanks guys, i'll give them a call and tell them that i havent got time to discuss any other options! I'll also ask them to read out what they have typed into my account regarding the transfer in case they mess it up at a later stage :-)0
