Question: if you cancel and turn to payg ... can you make a new contract on the same number the next day?
(at least I would get quidco...)
Thinking in advance as I still have 2 more months... grrrr,....

You'd need to port out to another network PAYG, then port back into your new contract, as you can't port 3 to 3, so to speak. I think the whole process of porting in and out again would take at least a few days.

I changed mine to pay as you go when I cancelled yesterday, and will probably Quidco a new contract with 3 if I cant find a better deal elsewhere. I presume as I'm not bothered about keeping my number and havent asked for a PAC, I can just set up a new contract through Quidco as soon as my notice is up? (Am hoping to find a better deal with another network to be honest, but keeping all my options open!)

I couldn't be bothered to wait. I was hoping that in 6 weeks time retentions would be able to offer me the £5 web bolt on for free on my £10 for life tarriff as well as the E71. Didn't think it was likely to happen so just upgraded to the E71 without the bolt on.

Have you done the obvious: asked Three?

I think the PAC code option usually results in the best retention deals, although these seem to be few and far between these days.

i know last yeari was getting offered some crazy deals but i decided to get the N95 8gb on a 12 month contract for £20 a month, nowadays as i said i dont care about the phone i would rather be paying £5 -£10 per month!!! has anyone taken out a retention deal in the past couple of months?

    im currently on 750 mins, 150 texts , 50 video and £5 downloads, for £20 a month on a 12 month contract. Nokia N9 5 8GB

i would like cheap as possible even if it means keeping the same phone
