robt, I received the code at the same time as I cancelled on 28th April. I still have over a week to decide where to go.
TBH, they'd have to call and offer a heck of a deal. Spending 30mins+ talking to them again isn't something I really want to do.0 -

Which phone did you go for? Was it reconditioned/through quidco?? I've got 3 months left with 3 and can't decide what to do!
Hi. The deal was for Virgin Media customers, so had to call them up and do it on the phone, so no quidco! Love the phone..it was a new LG Shine, and just what I was looking for- I've had 2 LGs before and like them a lot. SIM only deals with Virgin (on their website) are not bad at all..a few less minutes than 3, but I'm much happier with Virgin Customer Services so far. The SIM only deal I'll probably go for when I've used all my pay and go credit, is £25 pm which was 600 mins and 600 texts I believe, but with no minimum contract, which definitely appeals to me.0 -

I'm a fairly low user so £5 discount and a free phone was good for me, others that average £25+ will get £10 or more discount off their line rentals, depending on who you get to speak to. They will eventually call you towards the final few days of your PAC expiring, so depends on how patient you are at playing the waiting game.
My bill is always about £30 pm, so should I wait with baited breath lol?0 -
I reckon it's just the luck of the draw - not much else!! :rolleyes:Northernlights0

At last a call from 3..but alas, no progress! I had written to 3 explaining why I had given notice, and was subsequently called today by a very nice gentleman, who apologised profusely for the problems I've been having. It was somewhat refreshing that he actually listened to everything I had to say for once, but he still didn't offer me anything different, just pointed out that the 1100 mix and match deal I'd been offered (the same as online) would suit my needs perfectly. Now I may be cutting off my nose to spite my face in refusing the deal, but as I explained to him, I was giving notice mainly because I felt somewhat conned by three with regards to 1/ making out the deal was exclusive to me because I was a long standing customer, and 2/ trying to charge me for a free phone! I said I felt other people had got decent retention deals, and I didnt feel they were making any effort to keep the customers they had. I have to say he nearly swayed me, but I still said I wanted the 30 days notice to stand. I dont think there will be any more offers forthcoming..hope I am doing the right thing....0

Stick with it Chrissy. It's early days yet, and you should still get a call.0

I've been with 3 since 2005 and have upgraded each time through them.
This time I was thinking of leaving them (for real due to poor reception where I live) and asked for a PAC code.
I had to wait for over 20 min and was a tad annoyed.
I told them that I was leaving and I found cheaper deals with Orange.
They offered me nokia e71 on 300 mix&match plus 20min video calls for a little over £13.
Although I'm tied up for another 18 months I've been smiling like this :rotfl:since I hung up.0 -
I, on behalf of my daughter have been with three for about 5 years and have generaly found customer services OK (ish). VTT 500 contract at £17/month including £7 loyalty discount, expires next month and after two sessions on the phone to customer services was offered, like many others the deals presently on their web site. She would like to pay about the same as now but does not use picture txts, video calling or downloads, but would like more txts than the present 150.
After much discussion with my daughter, who is now taking over the contract herself (woopee!) we decided to go for the Vodafone SIM only deal for 600 X mins and unlimited Txts for £20/month and £100 cash back through Quidco.
Phoned 3 for Pac code, usual "why are you leaving" etc and was eventualy offered a Samsung U900 Soul in pink, 2 years warranty with 1100 M&M units, for £20 also includes free voicemail and internet access from phone and skype etc. Not a bad deal by present standards so will have to have an other committee meeting.:beer:The more I learn the more I realise how little I know:beer:0 -

YOu are in exactly the same situation as myself. Ive been with 3 for five years on Direct talker 1000 with a £14 discount. As with your daughter, there are things on this tariff (video calling, £5 downloads etc) that I dont use, and again, not enough texts for me. I was also offered the same deal with the Samsung Soul, but it's exactly the same as on the website, so youre not getting anything a new customer wouldnt get. And beware, they will probably try to charge you for the Soul, whatever they tell you!0 -
My wife has the samsung soul and isn't terribly happy with it. For a "state of the art phone" I think Samsung forgot a few features before they let it leave the factory.
Looks pretty but not worth the price tag in my opinion!0
