Maybe I should have asked for a PAC instead of saying Id leave it as pay as you go then. I have 4 more days of my 30 days notice to see out, and the only communication Ive had with 3 is for them to deny ever receiving my upgrade phone back 3 weeks ago! (fortunately I kept the receipt!) I am very disappointed not to have been offered anything to be honest, especially as I made it clear I am happy with a pretty basic phone. All I actually asked for was more texts than Im getting on present tariff! Am amazed they're apparently happy to lose a long standing customer over 100 texts!0

I have now gone past 15 months of 18 month contract so can upgrade over the next 3 months. I am thinking that the £20 texter with Nokia E71 with 200 minutes, unlimited texts and max Internet is a good deal for me. Has anyone had any success in getting this tarriff any cheaper than £30 or I would quite like some free picture messages, has anyone had these bundles in?0

@chrissy: They obviously aren't interested in your custom and don't deserve it, just move to another network.0 -

You won't be able to haggle on this deal as its already discounted to attract new customers. You can definitely get it cheaper by signing up to it as a new customers and use refer a friend and quidco for cashback, otherwise £20 is it. You could negotiate and change plans and get the phone for less I guess, but whether you get a loyalty discount will depend on who you speak to.
Good luck.
Chrissyxx - I think they may be on to you by your regular calls back to CS. So have decided your indecisiveness is not worth the effortSometimes I think you have to disregard what is posted in this thread as the offers are individually based. You can't ask for the same offer that was given to someone else, they would just say no outright. Due to my faffying around and threatening to leave, I eventually had enough and gave my PAC to O2, then they called offering me MnM + E71 for £10pm. Not as good as some on here, but good enough for me. Requested cancellation of PAC from O2, was told it was done. Next thing I find out O2 transfered my number over....now I'm gutted as I now can no longer take up the 3 retention offer. Moral of the story, think about what you're willing to accept and take it, don't put off thinking about it as 3 can just change their mind about the deal or end up in my unfortunate case of accidentally porting to another network before a good deal was struck.

EVERYONE: a PAC must be cancelled with the NEW network - not old, elsewise your old network would cancel every port out...it is designed to protect you.
parallax - as usual 3 India don't know important information about the 3 network they service.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Always find that the best thing to do is to say you want to change to Pay as You Go a month before the end of your contract. You should get an offer then. If you don't and the transfer goes through, you can then start a new contract with 3 or whoever. But at least that gives you breathing space to make up your mind..0

Thank you for your wise words Parallax. I have to say though, that apart from the initial upgrade call, all the contact has been initiated by 3. All I did was send a letter explaining my reasons for leaving. Have had 3 calls apologising for the problems and telling me I'm being rather silly for not upgrading with the MM1100! The guy in the 3 store did say he was amazed they'd not offered me a good deal, but hey ho.... I know I'm not going to get anything from 3, and am happy with Virgin for now. I have a phone I like, and not tied into a lengthy contract. Thank you for all the support, good luck with your new contracts...0

im due to upgrade on the 22nd and im on the MM1100 for only £20 a month. What do you reckon are my chances of getting them to give me the Blackberry bold on the same contract?0

How did you get the MM1100 for £20? If this is an upgrade to the current 25% off MM1100, its highly doubtful they would throw in a Bold without a handset charge. You may be able to get it at reduced cost, but will need to get the BB internet addon instead of the standard internet max.0 -
it was 15months ago when they had fab deals, i dont mind paying a little extra for the phone either0
