Just been to Three Store & got a Nokia 6220 (5mp Camera). 500 Mix & Match £20 (was £25 in March but they have reduced a few plans in store, I saved Feb & March price guides to check).
If I want I can go to Mix & Match 700 & drop back to 500. But no FREE cards or any loyalty discount this time0 -
Well, a week since I gave my notice and not a peep out of 3! Ive decided to go completely cold turkey with 3 (unless they make me an offer I cant refuse lol!) and have just taken a pay as you go deal with Virgin (buy £40 of airtime and get a free LG Shine for Virgin Media customers) I was with Virgin prior to 3, and at the time, their customer service was brilliant, so will see how it goes...0
-
Haha - until you get a "computer says no" moment like when I bought an unused Virgin-branded phone from eBay and they refused to unlock it because they said its serial number was not in their database. The fault was the data not being put into the database.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Got the phone from Virgin yesterday and love it! Still no response from 3, so when the Virgin airtime credit runs out, I think I will take a Virgin SIM only deal (no minimum contract) which is certainly on a par with anything 3 offered me...0

Hi
Which phone did you go for? Was it reconditioned/through quidco?? I've got 3 months left with 3 and can't decide what to do!Northernlights0 -
I posted this in the wrong thread, thought it would be useful to put it in the right place too:Three just rang me to offer a deal (I have two phones with them, one still in contract which I wanted to cancel because of the 3 like home changes and one out of contract for which I recently got a PAC code this deal is for the out of contract phone)
Man started by offering £10/month (£9.79 with the temporary 15%VAT) to stay on Mix and Match 300 with a free SE C905 over 18 months. I said I wasn't really interested in a new phone, but could they lower the price instead? He put me on hold and then came back offering a manager authorised "special deal" of £8/month (£7.84 @ 15% VAT) for Mix and Match 500 with the same phone. I asked if I could have the Nokia E71 instead and he said yes.
Got to say I'm sorely tempted... but also worried that I'll regret it in a few weeks if I accept due to network problems. Was going to switch to an o2 or vodafone 600 minute, £20/month SIM only plan.I was offered a £17pm deal too before they issued the PAC code. The better deal I mention above was from an unsolicited call a couple of days after they had sent me the PAC code.
When I rang back to ask about the £8pm deal again, I discovered that the regular customer options team isn't able to offer that deal (or the £10pm deal), they looked in their records and had the same guy who made the original unsolicited call phone me back 15 minutes later.
I think it may be an outbound call only team offering the deal so three can target what they consider "high value" customers (or perhaps just a last ditch attempt to stop people who already have a PAC from switching).
I've accepted it because I can't really loose at that price, the phone is worth more than any potential early termination fees.0 -
I have my pak numbers and will be with another network soon.
I've been onto 3 a few times and they have yet to offer me any special deal other than those seen on their website. I asked about the 500 mix & match and if they'd do it for £15 but there is no way.
When I mentioned that members on this website have been offered an array of special deals they have told me the deals have not been offered and that people make them up!
A call to 3 takes 25 - 30mins and I wont be calling them again.0 -
I think its obvious who are telling the lies, but I think they will offer you a deal based on your average spend. I'm a fairly low user so £5 discount and a free phone was good for me, others that average £25+ will get £10 or more discount off their line rentals, depending on who you get to speak to. They will eventually call you towards the final few days of your PAC expiring, so depends on how patient you are at playing the waiting game.0

I was told tonight that if I use my pak number, my contract will end immediately. With this in mind, it is unlikely they have plans to call me.
Just trying to work out where to go next. I'm thinking of trying one of the sim only deals from 02 or T-mobile.0 -

The PAC is valid for 30 days though, requesting it is different to using it.0
