So what's the secret for a better deal at this late stage. Have tried all ways to get improved tarrif especialy after their continued muck ups. Tried Exec office, their PR director. A local Three shop manager" not the orig shop" said that because we took out our contacts within an half hour of each other originally and latterly he would have given us at least 2000 3to 3 minutes. Slight improvement but their Exec mob said no! as I said they St

Hi everyone.
I wondered if anyone could help me with my mobile phone renegotiation tactics.
I currently have two mobile phone contracts with 3:
I have had a rolling 12-month contract since Sept 2005. After renewing a few times, I am currently got a Nokia 3120 classic on Direct VTT 500:
300 minutes, 150 texts, 25 video, 25 mms, £5 free downloads.
I managed to get this for £5/month (£20/month loyalty discount). Apparently I can't change this tariff and keep the amazing deal, so this will have to stay the same.
I also got an 18-month Talker £15 package with 250 minutes and 50 texts per month. This was a cashback deal, meaning the whole package costs me nothing. This will expire on at the end of Feb 09. I currently have a 6233 Nokia.
I need to renew this second deal now.
I would like to get the INQ1 £15 deal, but cheaper if possible (could I get it near £5?). I don't need many more minutes, and the ones I do use are mainly 3-3. The INQ1 deal has unlimited 3 to 3 calls and offers me unlimited internet, skype and all kind of jazz.
When I looked to upgrade, they said I was a low user, as I only use my 18-month one a bit, as I have the other phone.
1) When I ring to cancel, do I mention my other phone contract?
2) What are my chances of getting such a new phone cheap?
3) Is it right I can't change my other tariff? Should I be looking to use my £20 loyalty discount in another way?
4) Can you swap mobile phone numbers between contracts? If I got a nice new phone, it might become my primary phone and want my primary number.
Thank you for reading. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Just spent 1 hour 20 mins on the phone. Was only offered the £9 a month deal with the G502 or a £15 a month plan with the 6500. Asked for the 6500 on the £9 a month deal, no way. I argued that what he was offering was no better than a new customer could get but the guy went round in circles, I constantly had to ask for my PAC code. EVENTUALLY he gave up and took my details. I could actually get a better deal as a new customer going via Quidco.
I have now lost my will to live:D0
