3 Retention Deals
Comments
-
You have to give a notice for 3 to offer you a retention deal?
I'm on a running contract at the moment, about a month into it. Would like to upgrade but the deals they offer so far are awful.0 -
shortguy4u thats discontinued directtalker1000 plan
i got offered that deal - but £250 for the N96, then free Nok 6500 for £5 a month which I snapped up LOL
its £42 a month on MnM 1100 which is the current plan that most matches directtalker1000 for a N96 so I think you should be accepting the deal, add Xseries to it and it becomes £47 a month - its great value for N96 & priceplan, a saving of £12 monthly and a free TOP OF THE RANGE N96 - my advice SNAP it up
directtalker1000 video mins are to any network.....MnM plans are to 3 only, so the video pack you would pay £15 for to obtain the N96 gives you 3-3 video calls onlySO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Cheers for the advice Diamonds,
I thought it was an old plan from a couple of years ago.
I dont mind the price, but wasnt sure if holding out for a bit longer may reduce the price that little bit more.
Did you say that you got the 6500 on DTT1000 plan for £5 a month total?0 -

Yeah they don't seem to discount the internet use at all.
The SMS is a little on the low side for me, and was thinking of an add-on, until i read the article on cheap texts using data, which I of course have plenty of with x-series.0 -
yes but that could be the fact my previous replacements on my 18mth 6288 were ALL faulty......the 6500 signal is faulty too.....so its getting exchanged
Doubt on N96 you will get a better offer, its a stonking deal.....to get it free on 3 you have to go via a retailer, CPW,P4U who subsidise it via thier sale commission http://!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/3g-nokia-n96.html ( mobiles.co.uk )
Direct from 3 you will pay over the odds
calls over allowances are also cheaper on Directtalker than newer MnM/unlimited texts plans - the addition of free mms/video mms etc are great value as on newer plans well thats extra to your bill over £30 plan they offered you, and if you have another 3 contract or mobile broadband you get the 2000 extra 3-3 calls on directtalker added to your account
i have unlimited 3-3 on MnM 500 & that got me 2000 on my directtalker
as for texts, use 18185.co.uk browser on your handset & text the UK & world for 1p per text - i do
internet will never be discounted as it is subsidised by call revenue, but you get Skype & Yahoo/Windows Live Messenger free on all 3 contracts which cuts down textingSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
As I am coming to the end of my 18 month contract 3 rang me up yesterday to renew it.
They offered me 500 mins/txts for £18, which I took.
Today I checked their website and a new deal is on offer 700 mins/txts for £18.
I rang their cancellation department and said if they did not give me the 700 deal I would walk away.
Surprise surprise they gave me the new dealOwing on CC £00.00 :j

3 have stopped chasing customers....
They wouldn't stop calling me. Unfortunately I was always at work and couldn't talk to them.
I went into a 3 store today to upgrade. I took a Nokia 6220 with mix and match 500 for £25 a month. That is a £10 saving on what I pay now per month so I am happy with that. If I'd shopped around I might have saved more but TBH in this case I couldn't be arsed. I don't want to sit in phone shops with people blabbering at me about tariffs and dongles blah blah... and I don't want to mess about changing my number over or getting a new one. I was over and done in 15 mins and that's fine by me.0 -
I went in store yesterday to see when I could upgrade (18 month contract ending in February).
Told him basically I wanted the Ericsson C905 - I currently have the K800i with the 3.2 mega pixel camera which is an easy phone to use and the C905 is pretty much the same.
Was offered 2 deals:
- £30 a month as shown on their website with the 'free' photo frame on an 18 month contract. Told him no way was I having that - I could get the same deal off the internet so no loyalty given in renewing.
or
- Stay on my current £15 a month tariff (50% loyalty discount for being with Three for about 6 years now, got onto this tariff at last renewal nearly 18 months ago) 500 minutes & 100 texts and only a 12 month contract. BUT if I wanted the C905 it would cost me £102.00 to have the phone - still a lot cheaper than paying the extra £15 a month for 18 months to get it 'free'.
I could have had a few phones for free but I really want the phone I want, if you know what I mean! I can leave it a couple more months to see if the price to pay comes down as my contract doesn't end yet.0
