My 18 month contract with Three runs out on 25th Dec. I have the Nokia E61, currently paying £20/month for 500 mins and 100 texts (Talk&Text 600). I thought it was a bit pricey, as I'm paying £10/month for the same tariff on my other Three contract, but I got free TomTom with phone so balanced out.

Anyways, I REALLY want the E71 however they best they can offer me is £24/month for Mix n Match 500 plus 300 3-to-3 mins. If I want to stay on the same tariff I have to pay £200 for handset. I requested PAC on 24th October, and haven't heard anything back since.

Ideally I want the E71 free and the same tariff for less on a 12 month contract. It would be a miracle if I got this, but any suggestions/tactics on how I can get something similar?

I decided to give them a call, and was offered this deal:

Same tariff (500mins 100txts), £20/month, 12 month contract and E71 free.

What do you guys think? Should I hang on for a better deal (and risk no E71's being available) or go for this deal which is decent.

Looks like a good deal to me especially if it's the phone you want. That said can't see the E71 becoming unavailable just yet if you do want to hang on for a better deal.

Thanks for the advice andy. Yeah it is definitely the phone I want.

Out of curiosity, why can't you see the E71 becoming unavailable? They have been out since July and are really popular.

Like you say, they've only been out 4 months, are popular and get good reviews. Can't see Nokia or 3 ditching them yet.

Just got off the phone to 3 after nearly an hour of trying to cancel my contract which I cancelled on the 8th, but they didn't log it so they tried to say they would cancel it from today. Gave them a piece of my mind and got it back dated. They go on and on about how they are giving you the best deal, but its exactly the same as on their website. Just keep putting you on hold to speak to their manager. Told her about quidco and refer a friend and she said good luck :mad:

Seriously dude, they may be cheap, thats why I am with them, BUT they never offer a decent upgrade - at least not easily for everyone. So I would take my business elsewhere if I was you.

O2, Voda or Orange seem decent.

its £54 SAVING i say its pants, they were doing 500 MnM with 5GB data usb free for £20 last week, I get £90 refer a friend aswell - 4 1/2 months free - self refer on existing account

Not so good mate, skpe phone is terrible, not a good deal
