  • I was paying £15pm for 300 units (1 unit either a text or a minute of call).

They contacted me & offered me a 6500 as a phone upgrade. Told them I wanted a 6600 as it looked nicer & after he had thought about it for 10 seconds, told me he could offer that.

Wish I had asked for more!

5 weeks to go till end of 18 month contract so thought I'd give them a ring to see what they are offering, I'm on 500min 100text @ £20.
Immediately offered same 500min 100text but with additional 2000min landline calls (never even heard of that one) and Free Nokia 6600 slide for same £20 per month, when pushed I could get the Nokia N95 8gb included for £22 per month, not a bad start but will put in PAC next week and see how that goes.

Just upgraded to a Sony Ericsson C905.

18months (usually go for 12 but like 3 and I was happy with the package)
    Free handset.
    750 Cross Network minutes
    Unlimited texts.
Voicemail isn't free but does get taken from free minutes (I only ever use max 20mins per month)
    £5 free downloads
    50 free pic messages
50 free video minutes (never use these though)
    £27/month.

I was happy with that - although could have probably argued for more. Beats the £45 per month package (1100 mix and match thing) at the moment.

Coming to the end of my 30 day PAC period - no offers seem to be forthcoming (and this thread has been quiet for a week so assume you have all either got very good deals or have jumped ship)?

    New month, different deals available?

Mine ended about a week ago - called for my code - was offered various things but nothing that i actually wanted -left it the 30 days but not one phone call from them.

Will go on a sim only deal for a month before resigning up with them for the cashback and raf deal

Looking to go to the £20 O2 sim only myself for a couple of months if I don't get offered anything decent, and like you transfer back with cashback and RAF;)

If Voda are still doing the £90 cashback thats the one for me!!!
  • I'm not sure how you are meant to get a decent deal off 3, whenever I call them they quote the same deals as they have advertised online. I'd be happy with what John 306 had offered to him but they never seem to budge  I must be approaching it wrong.

I'm currently on the 500 mins x-net with no text for £15 a month on an 18 months contract.

Ideally I would like to keep the 500 mins and get an extra 100 text per month with a reduce monthly fee from the £15 current price plan and also get one of the best latest phones.

What is the best deal I can get in my situation and how best to go about getting it.

    Thanks in advance.

Just saw the 3 retention thread, apologise I don't use this part of the forum much, please mod put in it there.

rang today, same offers as the site, going to 02 sim only, at least i don't get tied to a 3 phone or threats to be cut off if using a non 3 handset, plus i can leave whenever i want, and can add the unlimited internet addon.

Doees anybody know if i can get the O2 broadband on the cheaper tarrif if i'm on a sim only deal?
    save me money not time

How the heck did you get that!

Ive been on the phone to them 3 times in the last week asking for c905 without all the add ons that you got and they wouldnt budge from £35 a month.

I have three weeks to run on my contract and they gave me my pac code.

I would've been chuffed to bits with your offer, well done
