£15 is what they quoted me 3 weeks ago. I was quoted £10 on the local market, my son did it for me in the end with instructions from the mobile phone unlocking thread. It was a Sony Erricsson K610i

That's the one I have and I was assured it was impossible to unlock this phone without a manufacturer code. Would you possible share with me the place your son found the instructions?

Have a look at the 1st Sticky in the mobile phone forum

Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's Thread 3

I found it in post number 506 made by JAYMARSH2005. my son followed these instructions with the cable supplied with the phone. My son works with computers and is always doing things like this so I dont know how easy it is. I probably would have paid the £10. The postings by JAYMARSH2005 are very helpful so I would have a look. My son also debranded it and removed all the 3 stuff but I dont know where he got the info for that, but he likes to mess about with things like that. Good luck anyway

quit wasting your time, I was also with three and I still am, but only because the total cost of the contract works out to be free.

To get them to give you an upgrade they would have to ring you, and it takes so much time and so much hassle waiting for them to ring you, haggling etc. etc. go with vodafone or O2. I personally like O2 as every year they give me a totally free cashback deal, and I never have to threaten them with the 'I'm leaving' rubbish.

For £15 you can get ALOT more minutes

three are offering b*gger all for retentions. Search for the 3 retentions thread, and you will see!

My contract ran out in August, and they've still not offered me anything decent. I'm waiting out on a better deal, but it's not been coming from them!
  • thanks for answers. I got on to 3 last night after being told I had a very good deal already they did offer a new mobile phone. Still waiting to see if there is anything else on the table.

Coming to the end of my 30 day PAC period - no offers seem to be forthcoming (and this thread has been quiet for a week so assume you have all either got very good deals or have jumped ship)?

    New month, different deals available?

Not usually good ones at the beginning of the month IMO.

I've gone on Virgin £12pm with 150 texts and 150 minutes and a free SE 770i.

Not sure if I've done the right thing, as reception in my office is poor, but I have a month to take it back apparently.
