Just called again to see if i can get any deals, and I was told that 3 NEVER make calls to people that have given their notice. Is there some kind of ombudsman we can report these people to for such blatant lies?

Got my official written notification of the new deal in the post today.

The contract is a "for life" deal, so the £10 monthly (inclusive of VAT) for the VVT1000 deal is not just for the 12 months as I thought.

Should probably stop me from haggling again in 12 months!

I had a £15 a month for life deal, the problem i found was that when i came to renew they would only offer me very poor phones making the deal worthless.its ok if you are happy to accept a lower grade phone and take their cheap tarrif but who wants to be walking round with a brick in their pocket!!

Thankfully I've never really been interested in the 'latest' phones, so I doubt that it will concern me too much.

With a decent price for a contract though, I'm more than happy to try and do a deal on a refurb, or if push comes to shove, buy another model on eBay every couple of years (one that isn't brand new itself). The overall cost of the phone should then be quite affordable, maybe £60 over 2 years, reselling at £10-15??? That's only £2 per month - in mathematical gobbledygook language, of course!

I'm really fed up with these clowns now.

I asked that the manager call me back who had assured me that better deals would be made in the 18th month of my contract. He called back today and denied making such a statement, and made a token effort at selling me an £18pm deal.

I dont want a new phone really, but if I cant get a cheap line rental I'm going to fight for the best phone.

Anyone know how much they charge to unlock? I might just switch it to T-Mobile PAYG text appeal

Unlocking is £15 in or out of contract (unless they've changed it recently).
