3 Retention Deals

They are offering terrible deals lately. I have 2 phones with them on a high spend and they made no attempt to stop me. (They have terrible argumentative customer service who are hard to understand, messed me about over per minute billing, and messed up my account but at least it was cheap.)
Well I asked to upgrade both phones to N96 they were offerring me worst deals then new customers. 300 minutes 300 3-3 minutes for over £30 and no data.
Transferred 2 numbers to t-mobile today on flext 40 with web n walk for £36 per month.
3 have totally lost the plot they wanted to offer me terible deals then argue with me for over 30 minutes while trying to get my PAC. In contrast t-mobile have been excellent. 2 of my other family members are now leaving 3 as well.
I will never go with 3 again.
orange and t-mobile are doing very good deals on the n96 at the moment.0 -
Where do you get that? I can see the liberty SIM that gives you the same for £15 pm, but no phone
cheers

Virgin members get that offer (SIM only) - I've just cancelled it after a year and months when I haven't used it anyway.
ISTR you asked about the C902? Well I tried to swap it out and Three screwed it up but I'm glad they did. In use its really good, its a shame the sync with my Mac isn't better (many address book fields aren't present on the 902) but all round after a week of use I really like it.0 -
I'm thinking of going over to O2 on their £15pm 75 mins and 250 texts offer with the Mocha W890i. I just want a really small camera phone, my son can have the 2gb card that comes with it for his PSP0

Well the 5Mp camera was one reason I went for it and I have to say its fantastic. And though I never thought I'd use it the geotagging feature has proved useful already. Sadly no card included with this so I've ordered a 4Gb one from Play.
I've basically given up the "reserve" contracts I used to keep so bye bye 2nd Three contract and Virgin. Hello more Skype calls!0 -

I have just gone through to 3 retentions and spoke to a nice Scottish gent. I said I was leaving to get my £10 a month 300 mins - 300 texts sim only from Virgin Mobile (being a media customer).
I have just been offered £12 a month - 250 mins - 50 texts - with Nokia 6220 (awesome phone) with a one off charge of £20.
I asked him to up my texts, but to be honest I rarely go over 50. He couldn't oblige.
I said waiver the £20 charge for the phone and i'd be interested. he did and it will be here tomorrow.
I'm pretty chuffed, I know people slag off 3 but I have never had a problem really! Everyone's got their faults including Virgin.
The Virgin only sim seems to be a good bargaining tool for retentions, you should use it whether a customer or not, because nobody can match it. But tbh, I think with the phone my deal is better!!

Couldn't agree more. Though in Virgin's case its the non-existent T-mobile signal...0 -

I cancelled today, only took me 30 mins to get them to agree to accept my notice.
I got the "As a valued customer we can offer you a deal but you have to promise you do not tell anybody about this offer" b.s.
Best deal they offered was 250 mins and 50 texts for a tenner a month with a free Ericcson 660i (18 month contract)
Or £180 credit at £25 a month 250 mins/250 texts (18 month contract)
then tried seeing if I had any friends or family interested in taking my £35 a month tariff where the bill is always £50-£80 a month. :rotfl:
I kindly told them where to stick it. I would have stayed with them if they hadn't lied to me 6 months ago by telling me I was on an 18 month as opposed to a 12 month contract I verbally agreed to. What goes around comes around. They are so F.O.S.! Bye bye 30
