I'm now PAYG as of yesterday - gave 30 dy notice to convert to PAYG. Received one call from company acting on 'behalf of three' with rubbish deal even if I had been interested in them.
As with Tonyhague, looked around and cant come close to three so will be taking out new contract, either N95 or SEC902 (delayed beyond end of Sept as was hoping N95 8GB would come down in October but hasn't so will have to go with one of first two mentioned.)If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -

Maybe now the free line rental cashback deals have all but gone, not so many customers are cancelling at the end of their contracts, but accepting upgrades instead.0

I had call from 3 CS trying to persuade me to upgrade the contract.
One of the thing they told was many companies have gone bust, and many of us forget to claim cashback at right time. As a result, customers end up paying full cost of line rental. 3's main advantage (as per him) is lower tariff and extra benefits like skype features etc....
He however, did not offer me any discounted line rental deal and was trying to flog the deal mentioned on their website with same price for upgrading and new customers....0 -
My Contract is due up on the 11th of November Just phoned up to start the fun and games.
I'm Currently, On Talk750 (I think its called) 750mins, 150txt, 50vid mins, 50mms and £5 downloads (£35 half price for 18 months) I've been paying £0 for the last 5 due to a loyalty discount also added to my account.

Started the clock ticking yesterday.
Why, when you say, "I'd like to cancel my contract" do they say "I can definitely help you with that" when it is the last thing they have any intention of doing, in fact they have to transfer you to the 'customer options' team to make the cancellation.
When I called yesterday it took me nearly 20 minutes to stop the woman offering me franky derisory offers that any new punter can get off the web site0 -
Yes I know They are taking the St Michael ! It would be interesting to see what other "3" customers who are coming to the end of their contracts are being offered?

I've rang them up about 4 times now as i'm 6 weeks away from the end of my 18 month contract and keep being offered exactly what you can get as a new customer from their website...
so i may well shop around and do a bit of quidco referring to get a better phone..and a better deal.!0
