What pipps me off is I did the same thing about four weeks before my contract came to an end. I was told to call back in a fortnight for the best deals!! liars the what knots. I don't know if it's allowed but I have the email address "who I was in contact with" The Director of Corporate affairs.0

I phoned today to ask about a phone upgrade. Around 4 weeks ago I was offered the following:
N95 8GB - £155
SE C902 - £25
Today after the N96 was released the offer was:
N95 8GB - £155
SE C902 - £65
I thought there would have been a bit of an improvement on the price but afraid there was not.
Although I am on a good contract I am thinking of moving to vodafone as they have a better signal in my local area. For that amount of money I should be able to get a new contract for about the same as my monthly contract and get the new phone for the same that I am paying at the moment.
My contract is at the end I presume it will still be 30 days notice for my PAC code.
At the moment I get
300 mins
150 txt
25 mins video (never used)
£5 downloads (never used)
I pay £9 a month for this and have 2 contracts the same.
does anyone know if vodafone will have the N85.
I am looking for 300 mins, 150 txt and casual internet access?
Any ideas?

I have 2 phones (mine and SWMBO) that are out of contract since June - been waiting for the right deal!!
Had three calls offering nothing special, told them what I wanted and was promised call backs which never came so have been looking elsewhere for new phones/contracts.
So rang on Thursday to cancel, no effort from them at all, no special deals and didn't disagree that my network performance issues with different phones (stretch of A14 has no signal!) mean that price is not my prime motivation - I want to make and receive calls when I choose.
So cancelled - not worried about pac as I'd rather they didn't get any more money out of me, regardless of who I end up with - so the hunt is on.
Did pick up 2 Asda sims this week as backups, so I'll probably go with Vodafone to tie it all in.4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
I have opened the box to my new N95 8gb and had a play with the phone, at what point am I still able to send the phone back?
Is there a way to do a master reset?
Am paying £22 per month, but will then need to add £5 for internet Just thinking that I have agreed to pay too much for the phone.
I would rather pay £5 per month for a crappy phone, but retentions never offered me anything like that.
Any advice as to what I should do?0 -
As long as you haven't put in your SIM and powered on or set the time/date you can send it back.0
-
Damn I set the time when I turned it on. Doh!
Will a master reset get rid of time and date settings? I have not put my sim in it yet.
Has anyone been offered any N95 8GB deals - there seems to be a lot of offers for other phones but not this one.0 -
Is the general feeling here that retentions are not offering good deals or is this just the time of month where the good deals tend to come at the end of the month or something.
I am seriously considering cancelling my current contract with 3 over the per minute billing issue and then taking a new contract via e2save or someone similar where some discounts are still available.0 -
Is the internet max an essential addon? I.e will it cost me a lot in data charges for lots of the functionality of the N95 8GB?0
-
They rang me and the best they could offer was a 'special offer' of an E71 for £20 a month.
Which, after hanging up, I then found on their website for new customers.
Best offer I got on an N95 8GB was £24 a month for 300 units, which is crap. I can get 300 mins + 300 texts from virgin for £10 a month, so add on the £14 a month x 18 and I can get the N95 for about the same price or less without being locked into a !!!! contract.0
