Are they still doing the £5 deals +/- a phone???

Yes - (though just for some people - no-one knows how they decide who to offer this to).

    500 mins/100 texts/2000 mins to 3 customers + 6500 slide or E65 for £5
  • which is the better phone the E65 or the 6500?

Do you think they would offer this with the 6220?
  • They offered me the 6220 a few times.
  • fun fun fun!
just called 3 to find out my contract expired on the 28th, 2 days ago! spent 45 minutes on the phone to an indian call centre, offered the mix and match 300 for £15/month, exactly the same as the website. asked for a pac and a termination, phone should go dead (i think) 30/oct, but about to call back to confirm, pac text just arrived saying i need to call and give 30 days notice.
last year the contract 600mins 100 texts worked out, with cashback etc at £12/month, I refuse to pay more.
    any suggestions?

You can ask for a PAC any day. After 30 days it expires and the contract continues.

I'm still confused about the whole PAC v cancellation issue.

Say my contract ends on Oct 31st, so I call on Oct 1st and request a PAC, if the number is transferred to another network before Oct 31st am I liable for any cancellation charge, given that I have not then fulfilled the 18 month contract, or will they just bill me up to Oct 31?

Some people here have said I should ask to go on PAYG which is like taking 30 days notice and THEN get a PAC

    Cheers

  • three offered me the following deals for my 2 contracts i thought was excellent.
    500 anytime mins
    2000 3 to 3 mins
    nokia e71 and nokia 6220
    £7.50 each on a 18 months contract.
what i did was kept ringing 0800 0351605 every week first they offer really crap deals as time goes they get better the trick is not to except any deals until the magic phone call comes in asking why i didn't except there upgrade offer and its then when you ask for the deal and these guys go out there way to keep you.

    ps
i did my upgrade 11 weeks before my contract expired.

If your minimum period ends on October 31st and you cease using the service on (say) September 20th, then you won't pay any more than had you timed it to cease on Oct 31.

You will be billed to Oct 31st irrespective of the PAC completing earlier.

If you don't use the PAC they won't end your contract, and in that case you would need to start again giving another 30 day notice period.
  • You have to laugh at Three, just phoned to cancel a contract - not interested in keeping it - so had to argue with them about it being a 6 month contract - that took 3-4 people then they put me through to cancellations and 75 minutes later still on hold my battery died...

I have been with them pretty much since they launched here and I have other contracts with them, but are they sore losers...

tried again. They're offering me NOTHING!

I thought as it was a new month, and the N96 is out I would get a better deal on an N95 8gb, but no!

They're offering a continuation of my old contract (180 'units' a month) for £26 and want me to pay £25 for the phone.

I don't want an 18mo contract. I've no idea where I'll be in 12, never mind 18 months!
  • Ok, so My PAC code expires in 2 days (4th) they have not called me yet, should I call them or is that desperate?

If all backfires is it easy to transfer the number to my Orange PAYG phone, can I do this online or would I need to call Orange Customer services (are they open on Saturdays?)
