I expect the main criterion is how much money you make for them.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.

I called for my pac code, told them I could get 200 minutes and unlimited texts from orange for £20 so he offered me 400 minutes, unlimited texts and a C902 for £25, told him it was too expensive which he took great offence too and said how can it be too expensive as I'd be getting more minutes and a C902, told him I wouldn't use the minutes and didn't want a C902.

Finally got my PAC after repeating 'give me my PAC code please' over and over again until he stopped talking.

Will wait and see if they come up with anything, it'll have to be amazing to make me want to stay after all the trouble I've had with them.

What phone do you want? I'll have the 902 and swap you!
    :O)

Accepted the following deal - guy was pleasant but did not budge.

    250 mins/50txt for £12 per month.
    18month contract
with a Nokia e71 which i plan to sell to cover line rental.

any chance of improving on this once it arrives (ie. threaten to send it back)

    Hi,

I think I have just got a brilliant upgrade.

I was on the Video Talk and Text Tariff. - 750 mins, 150 texts, 50 video mins, £5 d/loads for £17.50/month.

I never utilised my minutes per month and hence was looking to downgrade.

    Here's the story:

The girl was initially offering me 250 mins and 50 texts with the E71 for £15/ month.

I said I knew someone who had just got it for £12 month. She said if I offerred it you would you accept it? I said I would consider it.

She said ok I'll offer it you. I then requested some 3-3 minutes, whether it be 300 or 200 didn't bother me. She said no I can't do it (after talking to her manager).

I then requested my PAC code and mentioned most of my contacts were on 3 so really needed some 3-3 minutes. She said only for £15/month. I was about to accept but I said no, please carry on with my PAC request please, I am a student and can't afford to pay £15/month. I was on hold again.

    Net Result:

    I got the E71 on a 250 mins, 50 texts with 2000 3-3 minutes 18 month contract. :money:

    What do you guys think?

Also, a tip for everyone, don't choose the Upgrade option when ringing three, use the cancel your contract option. This way you deal with the Scottish Call Centre.

sorry doesn't always work, I wish it did:rolleyes:
  • zja10 - how much did you pay
    for the E71 on a 250 mins, 50 texts with 2000 3-3 minutes 18 month contract.

    £12per month??
did u get it in writing/who did you speak with.
  • Check out Three's website and they're doing a weekend special - Nokia 6220 (the one with GPS) for free on their mix & match price plans instead of the usual £5 extra a month.
Problem is, this is only for new customers, which I found out after 45 minutes on the phone to 333. I have been with three for almost 3 years now, so I naturally wanted to keep the same number, upgrade to a mix & match tariff. First of all I was told that this deal had 'expired' (despite being on the website for only a few hours). Then I was told the phone was out of stock. I asked to speak to a manager, who then told me it 'wasn't on the system'. Turns out in order to get the deal I need to be a new customer. Seems the only way is to get a new contract.
Apparently you can't take numbers from 3 to 3, so I will have to go via an orange pay as you go. Not a bad deal, so I think it's worth the hassle. Have any existing customers managed to get this deal without getting a new contract out?

    Will
