3 Retention Deals

I wouldn't want to unlock my 3 phone, it's a K610, and I hate it with a passion.

I still have my trusty 6230i, which I can use in the mean time on O2. If 3 wanted me to stay they'd need to offer me a new handset.

Thanks for the tip on O2 simplicity, I'll probably go for that tonight.

I gave my cancellation yesterday eventually, and was surprised when I got through to a british person (just through the normal 333) - i always take down the name of the person I'm talking to and ask them to note down on the system what we have discussed, and it seems they have a good system, so they can see what has happened with the other representative, so I'm relatively happy.

And well I've let them know what I wan't - I'm not willing to spend any more than £20 per month and ideally I'd stay on my same tariff DT 1400 as I do tend to use MMS as well. Seems a well suited tariff for me.

As for the K610i, I hate the phone, it's ok for a small phone, but it lacks any stand out features and there are many features I miss from my LG phone from 3 years ago. Plus the fact the bluetooth never worked from the outset - it's getting repaired by Three at the moment (and that was a bit of a hassle in itself!)

I can't understand how they can only offer me a loyalty discount of so much, when the current deal I'm on is cheaper than what they are offering, and I would benefit by starting as a new customer (Quidco etc) or just jump ship to o2 or vodafone

Switches off randomly, short battery life, often get "Emergency Calls Only" from places where I normally get a good signal, and need to turn it off and on for it to "see" 3 again. (Manually choosing network doesn't help). Random Call Cutoffs, with no problems with signal (could be 3).

Pics are good, but pales in comparison to my Canon G7.

Chances are that if you leave it till the last few days of your notice period the deals will get a lot better.

Told the foreign lady the story and all that she did was continue to come back to me with offers, most of them in the £25 region, I continued to tell her that I'd taken out a new contract with 3 and I just wanted to cancel and get my pac code, I really wasn’t looking for a deal.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Finally she came back with £21 per month for the deal that I'm on, currently £35 per month and new c902 delivered on Monday. The only reason I accepted was that it saved porting the number to and fro however I'm losing out on quidco plus the recommend a friend, the £20 voucher doesn’t matter. Now pondering whether to return the c902 that was delivered on Wednesday or keep it and give it to my other half who's 3 contract is up in the next few weeks. I was quite happy with the deal I did on line at the weekend but I guess both deals are OK and it doesn’t really matter which one I keep its one of those "horses for courses" situations![/FONT]

They allow you to cancel without penalty, presumably their legal people have advised them that changing their billing structure like this is a breach of contract so anyone that complains is allowed to end theirs, subject to the usual 30 days notice

Had a call from retentions today, that's 1 week after receiving my PAC. They said it would be the only call I get from them. They offered :-

1. SE530i or Skype phone 750x-net, 150txts, £5 downloads pm, 50 Video mins pm, 50 picture mms pm for £8pm for life.

2. Samsung Soul, same plan £14pm for life on an 18 month contract or £19pm for life on a 12 month contract.

Have asked them to call me back later so I can have a think.
