That is a blatant lie! You can request your PAC code once your on payg and use it to go to another network if wish to

Just tell them to convert you to payg once your contract ends... not "cancel and convert to payg". The same post confused me too, no doubt you too and the three employee!

Your intention to convert to payg includes that you no longer wish to continue with your contract!

So basically, ask to be converted to PAYG? My contract doesnt end until November, but they said I can cancel because of the per minute billing, so my contract would end in 30 days. I cannot cancel AND convert to PAYG he said
  • Went to cancel my contract, best they could do was offer me an £11 loyalty discount on most of the 18 month contracts, otherwise it would have been normal new customer stuff; the unlimited texts, 500 mins for £25, though she did offer me a few different phones other than the 6500 slide.

I set down my rules and said that I didn't want to spend more than £20 despite my high usage, and i've given her 3 days to think about it before she calls me back.

When I was through to cancallations they asked me if I wanted to take my number to another network. I didn't so my contract ends in 30 days. Try calling them back and hopefully when you get to cancellations dept someone will understand what you mean. Its called a Migration, this is where you stay with same network but transfer from Contract to PAYG. If that doesent work just cancel

For the record: I've just taken delivery of TyTyn with 500 m&m units, 90 video, 2000 landline minutes, internet access. £24 per month. 18 month contract. Given that the handset is just what i need for work I'm v happy.

Could you please look at the settings & let me know the URL for the Planet 3 Tytn homepage?

I have an unlocked O2 Tytn that I use my 3 sim in, but I have no internet access on my package, & now it's coming up to renewal time I'm thinking of getting a new Tytn just so I can browse - an expensive option when I'm otherwise delighted with the phone I have.

    Plus £1 intemised billing.
Don't you mean £1 itemised billing by post? It stated very clearly on the change notices I got that itemised billing on the web would still be free.

Even though FULL itemised billing is available online to download FOC (and I have to say it's pretty good), those on cashback deals should be weary as not all companies will accept the printed online bill as an 'original' document when it comes to sending your bill with a claim.

    Thank you:beer:
  • Well, my contract ends on 19th Sept. so I called to cancel on 20th August. I was told that they could not both cancel my contract and issue a PAC code for porting on the same day - is this correct?

The customer service guy seemed quite put out but I finally managed to confirm my cancellation (without PAC code) after 15 minutes (rejected an offer of 500 mix & match for £18/month). Just waiting for a call back from 3 now...

That's the same spiel I got. You cant cancel AND get a PAC. He can issue a PAC that is valid for 30 days, and I can use it tomorrow, and when I use it my contract with three is terminated, but I still have to pay for the rest of the 30 days notice period.
