No because some people here renewing for the first time have much better offers than me and I've been with them 6-7 years.0

I have two contracts with them (the wife uses the other one) and they offered me on first renewal last year 18 months with 17 months free...talk and text 600...boy would I love that deal now!!!
I am still within the 14 days of my contract upgrade...and I am upgrading from video talk and text 350 or whatever it's called...and the best is the one I accepted so far...£5 a month with 250mins and they are not offering a phone!!0 -
just been on the phone to glasgow (my contract was up tommorrow) after much discussion I was finally offered what I wanted, remain on the same minutes and texts (500 & 100) for which I pay £12 a month and free SE K850i. Happy bunny:j0

Hi guys,
this thread is an eye opener and really helpful - just posted another thread asking about 3, but this one is answering all my questions.
Spent 1/2hr of a fruitless conversation with an overseas call centre earlier. Just kept trying to repackage the same deal. I said i wanted my PACS no. but was so tired at the ned of the call I couldn't be bothered to get it.
Going to ring back and give my 30 days notice.
Thank you.:A :A :A :A

This is so much hard work
Currently on hold. Rang back to give the 30 days notice and they are trying to give me more rubbish deasl. 250 mins and 50 txts for £12 when I know others got that for £5. Also i use about 450 mins and 100-150 txtx/mth so the offered a deal of £35 with £25 off. No thanks.
Now he just came back on the phone and I said I couldn't spend anymore time on the phone. i told him i wanted my PAC and to cancel the contract. He told me that I couldn't do both at onece and that if I wanted my PAC code but hadn't used it at the end of the 30 days my contract wouldn't be cancelled. I told him just to cancel the contract.
should i have done this? Will I still be able to get my PAC?
Thank all.:A :A :A :A

I wouldn't worry about the PAC...I normally ask to be converted to PAYG and then atleast if they have crappy offers I can go to another network and don't lose my number. Wait for a few days they will call you.
I just came off the phone said I don't want the upgrade and to cancel the contract...the guy then says "we are giving you a life time contract £10 a month blah blah" to which I replied no it's £5 and he just said "yes £5... so that you can buy your own phone..."
He then tells me that I can get an LG Viewty from superdrug for £25...and even gave me the number for superdrug in bull ring!!! What planet are 3 CS on?
Are 3 supposed to send the upgrade letter in the post to confirm...it's been about 1 week and I haven't had anything...I'm getting worried that they may have just signed me up some bogus deal and are telling me something else!!!0 -
Thank - yeah I will wait.
The last guy did try to offer me a nokia N95 (I think but I am a bit overlaoded with it) - so i thought i might angle for one of those, sell it on e-bay, buy a cheaper one and pocket the profit!
What do you reckon?:A :A :A :A

Just got my first call.... currently on Direct Talker 1000 (18months), which gave me 750mins/150txts/50mms/50 video mins and £5 downloads. Had the fantastic offer which made it half price @ £17.50 but also received £100 quidco back then! So after £30 RAF it worked out at £10.27 p/m!
Was offered the same Direct Talker 1000 tariff but 12 month contract with a Sony Ericcsson k530i, (useless phone probably worth £50 if that) for £13 p/m, still have till sept 19th till contract ends so said no for now, will have to see if they can offer me a better handset...SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
