  • Hi all, have been really busy last few days so haven't posted my eating but its been good I'm pleased to say! I'm definately doing something right, normally by this stage (day 4) of a diet I am crawling the walls and only days away from a binge. I think the difference is that I have banned nothing, if I want a piece of cake I'm allowed it but just not piles of it! I'm definately in a better frame of mind than previous so still nice and positive.

Well today I've eaten the following:

    B. nothing, naughty but just didn't have time

    L. 2 x small pitta breads filled with tuna, salad & low fat cream cheese. 1 orange

    D. HM chicken curry with salad (no rice), fruit for afters

Snacks - none so far, will allow myself small piece of cake later if wanted but will try and fill up on fruit first.

Feeling good all in all, well done to everyone else who is doing well.
    Total debt £21,000

I think anything between 11 and 13 stone depending on age/build etc, you'll know when you feel right ;)

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Love it!

Just had my beef cobbler so have a lovely warm tum. :D Made my ham, cheese and potato pasties but I forgot to put the mustard on the bases. :wall: Nevermind, shall put some on the side when we have one tomorrow. ;)

Chloe - Glad to hear its all going so well for you this time round. I'm finding exactly the same as you, if I know I can have it then I don't crave it. I'm having some of the home baked stuff I do, cakes and all, but thinking before I down huge slices or 6 biscuits.

I think you have a point about the 'right frame of mind' because I could never stop at one biccie before.... I'd torture myself until I'd swoop on them and devour the plateful. Same with chocolate.:EasterBun

Well done on the 2lb loss shaz. :T

Away to watch a dvd with DH. Catch you tomorrow. Stay positive everyone. ;)

Oh btw, MrsMc - just got a sausage making book from the library by Paul Peacock. Oh man!!!! those recipes are lovely... thats my bedtime reading sorted.

The librarian said to hubby when he picked my requests up that she thought it must be lovely in our house with all that home cooked food. (we discuss recipes everytime I go in ;) ).
When he told her that there was a hot loaf of bread cooling for when he got back, he said she actually looked stricken. Bless. She loves her food. Don't we all. But nice to know that some people don't think HM is second best to M&S or Tescos finest. :D

    Evening ladies :hello:
What an awful day  I love my job but some people.............the words booze up and brewery spring to mind

I did have a nice lunch, on my way to buy some (HM sandwich was a mangled mess in the bottom of my bag  hummus and beetroot does not look good when you squash it) I met a couple of the girls from my dance class who were going to a VEGGIE cafe round the corner that I didn't know existed :T so I went with them and had a really nice greek salad with a pitta - scrummy and cheap :T I'll go there again!

Back to the grind which got worse as the day went on:mad: so I had a twix :o
Stopped at JS on the way home for bits for the cake, got stuck in a tremendous traffic jam  so cooked the veggie burgers for tea while OH went for a bag of chips (we shared one) to go with them :o
The cake has turned out well though :bdaycake: GS is 2 tomorrow so I've done him a spider cake - he likes spiders

Think I'll have a well earned glass of wine tonight, I've got a bag of snakajacks in case the munchies strike but I'm sooooootired I think I'm too tired to eat !

    See you tomorrow ladies:A

    Evening ladies...

thought i should pop back on as i have realised that if i don't post now-by the morning there will be soooooo much to say and i will be typing for yonks :rotfl:

Just got out of the bath -my Slim at home mag arrived -via my lovely mum :T ...so i have had a read of that...loads of really interesting stuff in there, it is deffinitely the best "weight loss" mag i have ever read.. loads of motivational tips n stuff :j -then i tried on some clothes again (in front of a full length mirror  ) both bedrooms have a huge mirror on sliding wardrobe doors  -but im starting to see improvements... still lumps n bumps everywhere-but much smaller -especially the one that i had cultivated between my "waist" and my "assets";) -as that is getting smaller my "assets" are looking bigger :rotfl: -the plus point being that it makes everything below that point looks smaller :T so thats my focus n enthusiasm topped up again :D .... weigh in in the morning.... think we must all be getting "in synk" all these TOTMs going on this week... still hoping on a loss..the amount of walking i have done :rotfl: its got to be about 7 hrs in 4 days :j

Dinner was yummy... everything tasted lovely n fresh, pork, steamed potatoes, broccoli, carrots n peas

well done on the loses folks :T :T :T and good luck to those of us weighing in tomorrow :D

Howdy doody frogga....glad all is well -breaking beds indeed , wouldn't catch me doing things like that (well not more than once anyway;) )

Shazrobo... 6ft 1" -ohhhhhh to be that tall -i would have far less to lose :p ...

Rosewood -do you have room for a "not so small one" out there...it sounds like bliss

Alibow....thanks for the reminder -i need maple syrup if i pop out tomorrow, well hubby does -to have on his walnut ice cream ...and the organic one is on offer at the moment so is cheaper than the basic one ;) .
I find it far to sweet-it makes my teeth scream...hubby knows when he gets himself some ice cream -he leaves a patch with no syrup so i can have my teaspoon taster;) -i do it every time he has some, but its enough to satisfy me...god knows how as i used to be an ice cream monster :D

I love potato salad -but only home made same as i only like HM coleslaw i find the others far to heavy and sickly... i would probably like apple in mine-but hubby might cry :rotfl: he can't do fruit and the like in savoury foods.... you should have heard him 1st time he had a thai curry and could taste co!!!! milk :rotfl: ...i love thai food nom nom nom..so as we are having crispy duck n pancakes this weekend - i think the next "take away" i cook will be thai..will just make hubbies hotter ;)
I didn't even realise it was chinese new year - go on guess what year i was born in ?????????

Yep it was the year of the pig/boar :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi boo

Tinned mackrel is very different from smoked.... so im not sure - i can't stand mackrel if it isn't smoked...taplady may know mind...as im sure she has a lot of mackrel...
the smoked mackrel one will keep in the fridge for about 4 days easily -but you can freeze it too -ooohh and its nice on toast ;)

I used to have the same problem with the frittata, as i tried doing it in a big frying pan, now i use something like one of the non-stick victoria sponge tins, I cook the onions, peppers etc in a frying pan and then tip it into the tin and pour over the egg mix and shove it in the oven.... it cooks more evenly that way too than doing it on the hob and then under the grill ;) .. i would have thought 2-3 eggs and a drop of milk should be enough.....what you could do is pour water into the tin you want to use, then tip it into a jug to see how much it holds... then you would probably only need half that amount-depending on how much filling you put in the tin:p
oh and some chunks of feta are nice in there as you get the lovely sharp salty taste
should keep for at least 2-3 days and if you have it warm-its pretty much like quiche without the pastry

I love wild boar too -especially sausages mmm, I like cured venison - the sort you eat as a cooked meat - but venison for casseroles etc i find a bit "strong tasting" for me -but hubby loves it

Are you not a fan of chicken? a whole chicken would do you loads of meals if you only have yourself to see to...

I will see if i can dig out some recipes for the slow cooker and others that might be useable

Keiss - i use brown vinegar for allsorts -mind i love the smell :p - i use it in the kettle, draining board etc...

Rockie - hope the rest of your day got better - sounds like you are having a devil of a time at the moment .

Have i been missing Newlyweds posts?or do we have a missing member:p

Look - ive still written loads - sorry folks :o ...how bad would it have been tomorrow

hello to everyone else :D -have a great evening all
off to veggie out on the sofa :D

Hi Mrs M. Wouldnt mind some ideas for using a chicken as I only have me to feed. Thanks.
  • Eeek I put on 2.5lbs...... fairly suicidal but hoping it's just the fluid retention. Looking at my ankles they are a tad rhino in appearance:confused:
I'm going to dust of my pedometre and really go for it this week, sitting around with elevated legs is not only unattractive but not doing a lot of good!!
