Bigmummaf- isn't it amazing how time flies when you 'sudoku'?
Queenpig- your food intake also seems low, its hard work with work/housework and ankle biters!! And you are not alone I'm so puffy I'm seeing the doc later so I think my weigh in could be water logged tonight... the joys of being female I guess:rolleyes:

Frogga -:hello: am glad to see that you are being positive today!:j
cheerfulness - the chair story made me smile!:D
Well I am now a woman on a mission - that last pound will come off this week!(or even more:D ) I have chucked the last of the coffee cake in the bin which wasn't an easy thing for a cake-a-holic like me to do! I am writing eveything down too so that I dont conveniently forget all the little odds and ends that I snack on.
Food plans for today are
28g porridge with skimmed milk
rice cake with scraping of marmalade
not sure about lunch yet but am trying to avoid bread so maybe a jacket spud.
low fat yoghurt or fruit
quorn sausages, mash , peas gravy and a yorkshire.
more fruit
Have a good day all. will pop back at lunchtime to see how you're all doing!Do what you love :happyhear0 -

Maybe said tadpole didn't want you to see the lipstick she slapped on at the end of the garden path? Or the friend might be really hideous?! Or tadpole might think your house is really beautiful and not want to upset her friend who lives in a hovel.. They are strange things.. I'd ask. My lot don't invite their friends round here because I'm off my trolley apparently.... lol... andbecause we live in a hovel! Seriously!

Morning everyone. Best sleep Ive had for ages about 10 hours. Had a strange dream about my dad who died a few years ago.
Looks like some people have had a blip (me included) the last few days. Im finding work quite stressful due to changes in a clients behaviour. 12 1/2 hours is a long time to have it constantly. Manager not happy we are using mobility equiptment and chairing her. But I have back probs anyway so wont lift her. I am helping her with someone else and transferring. The main problem being her challenging behaviour. Some people think its all behaviour but I knw its physical aspect as well. Sorry to have rambled off.
Congrats to all who have lost well done.:T
Hugs to all those who need them and another well done to those who have felt down but have got through it.
Welcome to all the newbies.:hello:
Food- Have been fairly good this week till yesterday. Breakasts have been porridge. Lunches- bacon sausage and beans. next day Crisps and chocolate biscuit as I was having to dash from work to a course
Evening meals- Panckes Tuesday with a little syrup. Yesterday- Cornbeef hot pot.
Then when I got in last night I ate an Easter Egg. Now have headache serves me right. Not sure whatIm having today. A lot of my meals are ate out or at work so feel a bit of a fraud on here. No one else to cook for at home. But plan to make HM at weekends if not at work.
As Ive said before I get a lot of help from the posts and love to see how everyone is and whats happening. Nosy I guess! lol

Work went mental yesterday afternoon and is as bad today:mad:
I more or less survived yesterday, after my shepherdess pie I had a yoghurt and a penguin type biscuit, then a handful of fruit and nuts (better than raiding the bread bin)
I had 2 boiled eggs and dry toast this morning, I have a hummus butty for lunch

Morning all
Any guesses where i have just been :rotfl: -cross 1hr 45mins off my exercise list :j -wasn't meant to be that long  went to aldi..then thought hmmm need spring onions (they didn't have any-and ya can't have duck n pancakes without them n cucumber can you now)...so thought id go to "PLUS"... started going down the road.... and you know when you know that its wrong...but you are sure it will get you ther eventually? well it didn't :rotfl: so i had to turn round and come back..go one turning further along and THAT WAS the right road....and they didn't have bl**dy spring onions either  ... so tomorrow i will be going to "REAL" to try again:rolleyes: -although i did pick up a cute bag of red and plain heart shaped pasta-soppy git i know:D ..oh and a set of 2 spring release non stick cake tins -shaped like hearts....sooooo cute
..they are only 11.5 cm at the biggest point-but as they were bakeware -i couldn't resist
and at €5.99 -about £4.50 i thought they were good..... so MR M may be getting some heart shaped meat pies in his lunch box this summer :rotfl:
I could have got heart shaped pizza, biccies, gateaux, cheesecake -even bottles of wine... but i will make my own if i want them :T
Well done on the losses :T and good luck to those weighing in tomorrow... fingers crossed for us all:D
MHE and Queenpig.... where is the rest of your days food? -i would be chewing on the table leg with that in my tummy...in fact it might just fill a hollow tooth :rotfl:
I do have some weeks where i don't each as much but this week i have been making an effort to eat more... not so much on my meals, but healthy snicky snacky snoos...
yesterday for instance i had :-- Brekkie - yoghurt and an apple
- lunch -4 krisprolls with cream cheese and tickled bunions -and an apple
- dinner - 2 hm tortillas with turkey meatballs, sour cream, caramalised onions and a salad
- and inbetween - 2 more apples, an orange and a yogurt, oh and a bit of home cooked ham -snaffled when the munchies struck mid afternoon
- then loads of water and some weak SF dilute
Queenpig-are you veggie? only you don't seem to have much protein there.... protein is great for keeping you feeling full for longer;)
Hello Boo
have you thought of bashing your tuna with a bit of low fat cream cheese.. then when you spread it on your bread you shouldn't need any butter/margea bit of salad on so its not "clarty"...you could always throw some salad in a bag and add it when you eat -so you don't get soggy bread...
or if you bash a tin of tuna with a bit of mayo, some chopped onion and some sweetcorn - it would make much more -so you would have enough to do your sandwiches twice -thus not eating many more cals than before -and making it cheaper :T
Frittata... basically any odds n sods in the fridge (bacon, ham, peppers, cheese etc)turned into a thick omlette -left to go cold and cut into wedges....nice if you put diced cooked potato or cooked pasta in there too... you could make one at the weekend and have it for a couple of days -even put different ingredients in seperate halves of the dish so you get variety..
flour tortillasthe recipe i posted makes 8 -and they freeze fine -makes a nice change from the good old sarni
what about some kind of potato salad, but you can add some cooked ham, and other veggies you like -chunks of steamed carrot, peas etc.... mix a bit of mayo with some low fat yog, seasoning, lemon juice...
smoked mackrel pate.... blitz skinned fillets, with low fat cream chease, seasoning, lemon juice, paprika... and have with raw veggies or some melba toasts -the ones you get that come in little packs of 5 so you don't even have to faff around bagging them up. You could also do this sort of thing with tinned tuna/slamon.. lots of good fats there
evening meals hmmmm
Pasta bakes... really quick n simple.. you could bash one together and shove it in the oven to finish whilst you have a shower and a cuppa -and i have been known to eat the leftovers cold for lunch the following day
You could make a lot of pasta sauces up in advance... then freeze in portions, then throw one in the fridge when you go out to work, and just nuke it when you get home whilst the pasta is cooking.
the bolognaise... what about swapping from beef to using half soya? or when i make mine i grate loads of veg in... and throw in porridge oats to thicken it up -plus it bulks it out too. I know lots throw in lentils too
swap the Medium cheddar to extra mature (lidl do a good one in a black wrapper) then you would need even less on your sandwich
Ok enough waffle..... will see if i can dig out some recipes for evening meals.... do you have a trusty old slow cooker?
BigmummaF - great minds... i have just picked up 2 big broccoli -its only 45c for 500g here at the moment and im planning broccoli cheese -prefer it to cauli -plus its [STRIKE]cheaper[/STRIKE] more economical :rotfl:
I steam the broccoli, chunks of carrot, wedges of onion, and some frozen peas, tip it into a big dish then make cheese sauce using skimmed milk n cornflour... then add some low fat cream cheese -with herb is nice, plenty of seasoning and a dollop of english mustard -pour it over then just a grating of strong cheddar and into the oven ...nom nom nom
its lovely with crushed potatoes and mustard pork steaks mmmmmm
Morning frogga.... great to see you back in your positive frame of mind :j ... go get it mrs
Taplady  i am in awe of you - i know what your cake means to you...that is the ultimate in determination and will power -chucking it out :T ..that last lb is gonna wonder whats hit it
Marie... as you say -its a verrrry old chair someone else weakened it you were just unlucky enough to be the one who sat on it last-at least it wasn't in public
...hope you aren't too sore
right im going to bog off after my marathon post again -sorry folks..
- Brekkie -yogurt
- lunch -krisprolls with cream cheese n salad
- dinner is pork with steamed potatoes n veggies
- inbetweenies -yogs, apples n oranges
have a great day everyone and keep up the good work -hugs to all those in need and HELLO to anyone not mentioned (think yourself lucky:rotfl: )-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Morning People,
Didn't do too badly yesterday food wise, but I don't expect to see a loss this week as it was my TOTM and I had a couple of bad days of "Nom, nom, nomming".
DH and me took DD in her buggy for a big long walk last night, we've done it before and know that it's about 3.5 miles altogether. I wore my pedometer clipped onto the waistband of my trousers. When we finished walking I checked the pedometer and lo and behold it said we had walked a grand total of...........0.5 miles. I must have reset the bloomin thing on the way back when I bent into the buggy to sort DD out. My (tiny) belly must have pressed the reset button!!!!!.
Todays grub........
BREAKFAST: Bowl branflakes with semi-skimmed milk. large tea.
LUNCH: Bowl h/m veg & lentil soup with 2 slices wheaten scone with low fat spread.
DINNER: Breaded cod, mash (without butter), veg & white sauce made with skimmed milk.
Activia yoghurt later, some fruit, tea & water.
I've noticed since I started eating healthier my IBS has really improved.
Weigh-in for me and DH tomorrow, good luck everyone.
:j :j :j0 -
 Back feeling a bit better but still have that "voice" in my head telling me not to eat
Well had my lunch, was salad and some tuna and a bit the crusty bread will have a little yogurt with that.
tea is still soup with some more of that crust bread thing i have a brown one in the freezer i'm thinking of taking taht out so theres more to go around? but then again i have made jam roley poley and custard for the kids maybe that would be enough, just use up the rest of the loaf too and make a fresh bread.
