Well done LG.. I've hit the 3lb loss since December .. again... it is off and on like a tarts knickers that 3lb!!!! there is no way I'll hit 7lb by V-day.. why does it come off so slowly?? My mother stopped going to WW because she was really disappointed with how slow her weight came off as well.. seems like we are the same.. maybe this is because this is how we are meant to be.. *shrug* maybe??

Best go find something for dinner tonight.. might whizz up a lamb hotpot with the left overs..
I have spaggy bol leftovers from last nigth for todays lunchand breakfast is going to be fruit I think.. can't be faffed with anything else.

  • Silly question but how long does HM veggie soup last in the fridge before its gone past its best? I made a huge vat on Sat pm and there's some left - Should I just sling it?
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Morning ladies:hello:

MrsM – Yes, the same GS. They had fun, no accidents on the carpet but plenty of wet pants!! :rotfl: OH had to put the washer on by 11am but once I told him to ask GS instead of waiting he was ok. :D Funnily enough OH was asleep on the sofa when I got home……no stamina these men!

Last night was ok, I’ve started saving my after tea yoghurt until about half 7, if I do that it seems to last longer and I’m not wanting to nibble so much. I had 3 brazil nuts - not chocolate ones and a cup of hot soya milk before bed.:D

I’ve been for a swim this morning, :j So far I’ve eaten a thin slice of toast with marmalade (no butter) before I left home then oats soaked in soya milk with berries after my swim. I’m just having a banana and have bulgar wheat, humus and salad for lunch. I’ve got fruit and a yoghurt to have before my dance class and I’ve got a veggie shepherds pie out of the freezer for tea. OH has written instructions on what to do with it  so it should be ready when I get in!

likklegibbon - WELL DONE :T :T :T That's a fantastic loss. I would have the veggie soup today, it should be ok. When I do soup at the weekend I freeze what's left in individual portions.

rosieben - keep coming back, we're a friendly bunch, it's cheaper than a slimming club and it seems to work!
Hope everyone else has a good day, see you later :A

    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
    Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:

    Morning one and all :D

cross another 1hr 40 mins walking off my exercise list someone :p ... I can't believe i actually did it this morning
Couldn't get to sleep for love nor money last night..finally gave up at 1:20am and shuffled off downstairs to lie on the sofa with blanky -where i promptly fell straight to sleep  ... felt a bit rough when i woke up (sore n achy), so had a yogurt for brekkie -sat here twiddling my thumbs as i had decided i wasn't going out, plus it was raining....
then finally convinced myself to get my lazy a** up and out ...so armed with my brolly -thats what i did :j ..still feel a bit below par, but happier as i have has some fresh air and hopefully helped the weight loss a little more as its TOTM -so i NEED all the help i can get to shift that last 1/2lb on friday as thats my last weigh in before Valentines day  ..then im on to Froggas feb challenge ;) mind that only gives me 3 weeks  so my next goal will be to hit my 5st mark -although thats more than a little optomistic :rotfl:

Likklegibbon - :j WELL DONE :j -does that make you likklergibbon :rotfl: -then when you get to your target -you will have to change your ID to tinygibbon;) ..
I would still use the soup -you will KNOW if its past its best.... whack it into bags in the freezer -waste not want not and all that :D

Pigpen -my sis used to be like that -up n down like a wh*res drawers ;) .. then one day it finally "clicked" with her and she began to lose steadily... now she is about 12st -but isn't losing anymore at the moment as she is having chemo.... and its making her hungry...
You will get there..have you tried eating little n often? perhaps you n your mum have a metabolism that needs to eat more frequently...worth a try :D

Nix - you make me laugh :rotfl: -just got visions of your DS being shook by the ankles to make sure there are no sweets in his pockets :rotfl: .. Im not much of a sweet eater, but i love the sour sweets you get mmmm out here they do loads -but its only the sour bit i want... I simply don't buy them at the moment as i can demolish a bag in record time -although i still go up the sweet, choc, cake alley every time -even though i have no intention of buying anything ...think im a bit sadistic :rotfl:

Cheerfulness -you are right -tortillas are much easier ;) ..... we love them -can't believe it has taken until now to get around to making some :wall: .
When i do the bagels im going to do plain first....mmmm toasted with cream cheese n ham  then im going to try some with those "crispy onions" and poppy seeds in - i used to love the onion ones...

BigmummaF -hubby quite often gets "luck dip soup" for lunch..... i stick my hand in and whichever pot i pull out-thats what he gets :p

Woohoo  rosieben and welcome on board..... don't worry about how much you have to lose..there are plenty of us on here that are more than a little "well upholstered" :p so you are in good company....I think the technical term for me when i started was "morbidly/clinically obese" -im now in the plain old "obese" catagory :rotfl:

Hopefully you will get loads of hints, tips n recipes and lots of laughs too...

MHE -well done on the loss :T -its great that a group of you from work are all doing it together, hopefully it will make it a little easier as you have each other as encouragement :D

    well brekki - yoghurt
lunch - krisprolls with cream cheese and tickled bunions
dinner -meatball/tortillas from last night and salad
plus fruit n yogs if i get peckish -just got some organinc oranges, 8 for €1.99 which i thought was quite good, so may have a couple of those

hello to all those not yet posted -or who i have missed
hope everything is OK frogga -not like you not to be on first thing :p
have a great day everyone..keep up the good work

Hi I'm here, just got back from work,

You'll never guess what happened last night? I was a greedy pig and stuffed AGAIN, oh what a shock I hear you all say , how unlike Frogga

Wish I hadn't said anything about being good in Feb now as I'm so carp and I let you all down. One minute I'm really possitive and doing well and encouraging everyone else, and the next minute I'm stuffing, crying and then more stuffing then loads more crying :o

This morning Tadpole 1 said that a friend who lives just down the road is having a girl from school over for tea. She said she told her friend on no circumstances was she to tell the girl where we lived. I asked her if she was ashamed of our little house and she said no, she just didn't want them calling for her. You know what I think now don't you? She doesn't want her friends to see how fat her Mum is.

When I was thin I was Really confident as I felt that I was an "exceptable" Mother. Now I know that Tadpole would be ashamed of me. I know what you will all say, I can hear you now, but you wont change my mind. Tadpole 1 is lovely , but she would be embarrassed if her friends saw me, I would be if I was her, kids are like that.

I know that Mr Frog loves me et.c but he too preferes it when I am thin. I look nicer when I am thin. It doesn't meen either of them love me any the less I know, but I look nicer when I am thin. It's simple.

This got me down so much this morning that I made an appointment with the GP for 9.10. then I cancelled it. I just think it will be a complete waste of time. I've been to the GP several times in the past and there is nothing they can do. It's all got to come from me. They'll offer anti-depressents which I don't want. They'll offer me weight loss vouchers for SW which I don't want either. I've been there done that with them. I've had therapy and councilling and the most poinient thing that my GP once said was the helping hand I want is on the end of my arm, meaning I have to help myself. And I do.

So anyway off I went to work, had a few tears of desparation in the car, had another few at work and then I'm home.

The daft thing is, although I'm 19 st it wouldn't take that long to loose it. I'm actually quite slim at 13 st (size 12 top 14 bottom) so that's only 6 st , which in the past I have lost in 5 months. I seem to loose it VERY quickly , don't know why as I dont starve  , but I could be really happy by end of June. If I just pulled myself together and got on with it instead of fannying about moaning and feeling sorry for myself

Have been good today. Now going to take the dogs out as the sun is shining and I thought the exercise might lift the mood and stop bored fingers picking.

Hope none of you feel I've let you down, and please don't be nice to me, I'm not looking for sympathy, TBH I think you need to smack me in the mouth and get cross as I'm a fool who needs a kick up the proverbial.

Hey Frogga, sod off with the don't be nice to me, give me a kick up t'!!!! routine - I'd love to oblige but I was brought up proper and all that - so I'll have to say nice things - blips are just blips. The worst thing about them ISNT the calories you consume, its how they make you feel weak and like you have failed.

But you haven't failed, and you most certainly haven't let anyone down - you're still here, you've had a good day today and you're moving forward again. Just think, if you HADN'T been here at all, how much would you have troffed so far this month? Huh? You're doing good. We can't be good all the time - says the woman who has just rammed a ruddy Subway sammich with all the fattening trimmings down her neck :D - hormones have me bad this month.

As for your daughter - my son hunkers down in the car if I ever drop him off at school so his mates can't see him!!!!! Now I could take that to mean he's ashamed of me (might be true, I'm not a wallflower-y mum type:D) or ashamed of the car (knackered old Honda Civic covered in rust - speaking of whch where IS my new company car???) or it could be just because sometimes kids are funny critters who think funny things and do the durndest things for reasons we would never understand. They love the bones of you, never forget that xx

Now consider yourself well and truly hugged up in a full on weight loss gang stylee - at a push I might call you a silly sausage for being so down on yourself but I'd hate myself for it all afternoon :D

I wouldn't have tried to talked you out of it..but i could have bored you to sleep with my endless waffling...perhaps destracted you long enough for it to pass you by ;)

You haven't let anyone down...but if it helps -then its about high time you got your ar*e into gear... you have done it before, and you can do it again...but only YOU can do this.... and you need to be doing it for you...not mr frogga, the tadpoles or anyone else...
We will give you as much support n help as we can of course.... but YOU HAVE TO DO THIS....
come on...today is a whole new day -:T on having a good day...and as you say -you could lose a whole shed load in time for summer.....

SO - AR*E INTO GEAR....DIG DEEP INTO THAT RESERVE OF DETERMINATION AND BLOODY MINDED-NESS YOU HAVE AND AWAY YOU GO :D

don't make me come and slap your legs again..i have been warned by the RSPCA once ;):rotfl:

Hello everyone else :D -don't think im mean... frogga and i know each other well enough for her to know "how to take " what im saying don't you my ickle friend :D
