saversarn - oh I do love your list, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it has really cheered me up!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I think I will print it off and stick it up in my kitchen. Then when I am feeling down and want to munch too much, I will read the list and laugh so much I won't need food!
Off back to the college work..there's so much to do!
Thanks again

Hi everyone else :hello: esp Tappy and MrsM :A
Been being v good ~ had a very near wobble on the way home from work today  Mr Frog asked me to call into the shops and get him some instant tea for his lorry. I was FINE til he did that as then I had to walk in the shops and walk past all the yummies:rolleyes: It WAS SO DIFFICULT as I then really fancied somethingBut I didn't have anything. Then when I pulled into the drive I thought " ooooooooo I'm gonna have some og the chocolate chip buns that are in the cupboard" but I didn't. Really Really fancy something, but haven't as yet as it will turn into a massive binge and it's only the 5th Feb!

Why can't you push the thanks button more than once, cuz Saversarn you sooo deserve a big round of applause:p
I'm gunna need your support over the coming days, cuz my luvverlee BIL has gone back into the hospice. Depending on the results of blood tests they'll be doing today, he could be having another bout of treatment starting tomorrow. Thing is...he was really poorly over the weekend & has perked up a bit yesterday, & I'm not necessarily taking that as a good sign. When I get ppppppd off, I either sleep or eat to excess so I'm relying on yooze lot to talk some sense into my thick skinned beheister OK? Promise? Thanks:o
I'm having a go at savoury pancakes today, in honour of the occasssion...never tried 'em before, so I'll let you know how they went tomorrow. I'm not sure yet whether to make tortilla or cannelloni

Hi All,
Great to read all the new posts. Had a good day so far today and we are planning a long walk on the beach shortly scrambling over rocks and up to the lighthouse. Should be good for the muscles as well as using a few calories.
Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and raisins. Pineapple juice.
Lunch: Pitta bread filled with chunks of chicken breast mixed with chopped tomatoes and a spoonful of light mayonnaise to bind it together. Water.
Snack: Banana
Tea; Not sure yet. I might do pasta with garlic, mushrooms and cream cheese. Orange.
It's been really warm and sunny again today after the rain yesterday so been sitting out on the patio with a book. Sorry, don't really want to make you all jealous.

Oh saver - I hope the BG's don't delete that post because it was just what I needed today. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Probably hormonal or something, but bitty down. Where'd that come from? Was quite happily watching Phantom of O with OH and WHAM! Ran to here quickly. Thank goodness you all post so reg. Phew!
Just checked my Naan bread in the BM and its a lake. Now I know I'm not to blame  so has to be the BM or the recipe. I was precise.. if nothing else I have perfectionism traits, I do as I'm told to the letter...I don't even cross till the green man flashes. Bahhh, they're eating it! They have to take the rough with the smooth with my cooking.
Anyways, IF the naan is inedible.. less cals.
I need summer thats all. Rosewood - I need to be next to you eating chicken pittas and soaking up the sun in Spain.
Panic subsiding, so will go battle it out with this dough. Its gonna get more flour bunged at it whether it wants it or not. Not having dough do my head in, I've got teenagers for that!
BF - Sorry I missed reading about you BIL whilst typing. I hope it goes as well as can be for him and your family. Everyones here if you need an ear.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Heck, that never occurred to me.
Well panic abated.. they're certainly nothing like naans but, after chucking flour at them, they've turned out like little ciabattas... really nice and tasty. Bit rough looking but thats rustic right?
The flavouring is gorgeous (coriander, onion and garlic) and DS1 has stopped saying smuggly, 'not so proud of that one are ya mum?'
Frogga - doing well aren't you?And it might just be 5th but its a short month, practically halfway through.
Well back to dishing up the curry and [strike]naan[/strike] ciabatta breads.
Its cornation chicken and pitta bread tomorrow. Lets see how I can mess that one up.
All the best for your weigh in tomorrow Taplady. Hmm is she on a sleep over. Oh well, if you get a chance to sneak online.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Brilliant post Saversarn :T
Frogga - I'm proud of you :T I was tempted this afternoon, after copious amounts of salad at lunchtime and a really busy afternnon I was tempted to go to the crisp machine but was saved by my boss offering me a gingernut biscuitI decided that one biscuit was far better than a bag of crisps.....and it was free
I made broad bean risotto for tea - scrummy and depite using the 'recommended portion' size for the rice instead of chucking loads in the pan I was full and even left a bit   Might have a yoghurt in a bit.
OH survived the grandson - not sure if the grandson survived grandpa:rotfl: and had even tidied up when I got home
I'll getup early tomorrow and go for a swim, missed out today as OH needed the car so tomorrow is swimming AND dance class after work........lots of exercise
:grouphug: BMF, sleeping is better than eating!
See you tomorrow ladies:A

Evening all
The meatballs with HM tortillas were a hit  in fact NIX im almost sure there were NOM NOM NOM noises happening :rotfl: ..... hubby has requested the other 1/2 warmed up for dinner tomorrow night:j, so thats that sorted:rotfl:
So just incase anyone wants a bash -here is the recipe..even remembered to measure things
Turkey meatballs:-- 450g turkey mince
- 50g fresh bread crumbs
- 1 medium onion -finely chopped and zapped in the micro and cooled
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1tsp cumin seeds -bashed with a pestle n mortar
- 2 cloves garlic -minced
-mine made 20 @ about 25g
stick them in the fridge until required
I then sliced up a couple of large onions and added a drop of mild olive oil and put them in the oven to roast -stuck the meatballs on top and put back in the oven until cooked....
I have allready posted the tortilla wrap recipe haven't i..
on hubbies i put 3 meatballs on each wrap with the onions and a smear of sour cream... on mine i had 2 on each and cut them in half.... i only managed 1 1/2 wraps with salad-hubby finished it off for me
2 meatballs cut in half on each tortilla is plenty :j so we still have 4 wraps and 10 meatballs left.... thats one heck of a tasty, healthy and economical meal.... plus a nice way of eating turkey mince (which i usually find pretty bland;) )
Cheerfulness... its strange i only used to use my BM to mix dough but i noticed i was starting to get batches that just stayed runnythats one of the reasons i have gone to making by hand
Hoping to have a go at bagels tomorrow...hubby is off playing hockey with the army -so i don't know what time he will be back, and as he wants the meatballs warmed up i have no dinner to make... so i may give them a bashlets see what mess i get in trying to drop bread dough into a pan of water:p
bigmummaF...
so sorry about your BIL..there will always be at least one of us here to listen when you need it
Ames123....
i haven't banned anything -but like you i have realised that if i can just get out of the supermarket without those "extras" i will be fine....but if they are in the house then i swear i can hear them calling to me :rotfl: ... so far im managing to not put them in my trolley - but if its something i really want -i will buy just 1...enough for me to have a taste , but not start an avalanche:D
Sylphraven....
can you try convincing OH that if he wants to treat you, a face mask, or a new mag to read or something would be lovely?... Its lovely that he wants to treat you.... but its actually bl**dy torture isn't it
OOOHHH or perhaps you could ask him to drop the money he would spend ona bar of choc into a pot -and then every so often you can treat yourself to something nice
KraftyKat  coconut is the best 1  .. i love coconut mmmmmmm ruffle bars nom nom nom:rotfl:
Rockie....
Has OH been minding the little one that peed on him a while back :rotfl: .. that could be fun and games :rotfl:
woohoo frogga -glad you got past that wobble :T every day is a little step closer to where you want to be..well done mrs
Right im off for a biff baff boff..and i will talk to you all in the morning
keep up the good work everyone...
