Menu got altered a little when DS reminded me it was pancake day - have spent most of the day thinking its Monday, ah well. So for tea it was pancakes. I think as long as your careful with your toppings & how much oil you use to cook them pancakes arent too bad for you. I ended up with 3 & a bit (LO finished his & decided he would like a taste of mine as well, lol).
MRSMCAWBER vbmenu_register("postmenu_8442293", true); I have tried & tried to get him to buy me some Strawberries (mmmmm), kiwi's or some other slightly more expensive fruit than apples etc rather than chocolate, or put it in a tin to go towards some new craft stuff but he cant see theres anything wrong with it, its just a cheap little treat for me. If he wants to buy a bigger treat he pops over to lush as he knows I love the stuff but I cant justify buying it myself for myself.
Hugs to Frogga & Rockie4 for fighting temptation (& to everyone else whose fought it as well). You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
I was telling everyone at work about joining WW and how i couldnt follow it at home without the weekly humilitation ritual if i hadnt lost any weight. They all kindly offered to humiliate me for free!! :rotfl:
Anyway we decided to start a club at work - we will get weighed on a Monday and if we have gained or failed to lose weight we have to pay a monetary forefit!!
Now we are all encouraging each other with our lunch boxes etc. Its quite nice. Weve also decided to exercise together 1 night a week straight after work. Theres only about 10 of us but its nice to be doing it all together - pressures on to lose weight if others are involved!!
First weigh in was yesterday and i had lost 3lbs from the previous Monday when i joined WW. I was quite pleased with that. 3 down - 39lbs to go!!!"With no money you start to discover your own inner resource" GK Chesterton2 adults, 3 children0 -

My first post on here although I’ve been a lurker for the longest while. Just want to say thanks to everyone for all your useful and entertaining posts!
It’s the number and nature of the posts that make this thread what it is and its no more chatty or off topic than the flying thread (which I also like and lurk on regularly) or other OS threads which I visit. If all I found here was just a list of ‘this is what I’ve eaten today’ and recipes then it would be boring and colourless and I doubt I'd have come back a second time.
I’ve found help, good tips, and some good recipes here, and also – and just as importantly - many a smile on a bad bad day!
I’m critically overweight, have many serious issues around food and self image and I’m heading for a heart attack any time now. I couldn’t afford a slimming club even if I could face one
This thread has given me real hope for the first time in over 15 years, that I can lose weight and regain good health. Long may it Continue! :T :T :T... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I'm trying to make up my mind whether to stay awake or try & get some shut-eye...you know when there's things that need to be said but you're not sure how to phrase it? I've spent the various waking times these past few nights composing the letters that I really have to do today......been up since about four, but at least I haven't attacked the bikkie-box!
When it came to reheating the 'bol sauce'.....it wasn't:D I think it was some hm chicken soup---there were definately lumps of chicken, sweetcorn & broccolli in there, so I just whacked in a couple of rather sad peppers with the last of the mushrooms & one slice of bacon. Thought about serving with rice cuz it smelled a bit curry-fied then remembered a packet of pitta in the cupboard;)
I had a little of the mix, & ended up eating my peppered mackeral that Mr T has very kindly put on offer again, but the offspring seemed to enjoy it:TFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hiya Rosieb - I think I could have written your post.. that was me a bit ago when I joined this thread. Never looked back, either... it just gets better and better.
If you've been reading the thread you'll realise how much help everyone gives each other... its a lovely atmosphere and no one cares what anyone else has to lose or how they want to tackle it.... we just all cheer each other on and up.
mhe - half the battle if you're all supporting each other at work... from what I've gathered from others on here it can be a mine field avoiding all the biccies and cake at work.
MrsMc - Shall add those meatballs to my MRSMCAWBER recipe book.I use a lot of turkey mince but find burgers and meatballs have been bland, too. This should pep them up. Found a nice fruity sauce to go with them in a library book yesterday, too.
I'm swaying between pittas and tortillas today. I might go the tortillas route as they might be easiest.
Still got a full house, :T they're going back to work tomorrow thoso meals might no go as planned today.
Plan:
Readybrek
Cornation chicken in wraps/pitta? with salad
Macaroni cheese with ham and herby rolls (won't have rolls myself)
Going to try a walk again today to local shop for tv guide. Knees not too bad today so want the gentle exercise. Then I'm going to prune my buddleia tree and sow my greenhouse tomatoes and basil.
Have a good day and all the best for those weighing in today.
Sylph - get him to set up a lush pot for you.. I love their stuff. I've just ordered one of their large grab bags they were doing on their site. Very naughty as my savings were for my hols but at £20 for over £80's of xmasy lush I couldn't resist. Will last me ages.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Had an appalling night last nightit ended up at about 10pm with me hammering on DS door demanding sweets as I knew he had a big pot of haribo in his bedroom LOL. Ah well, what can I say, this week I am fighting the hormoney demons that once a month turn me into a rabid dustbin on legs
have a belting day everyone - today I get my new company car.......a BMW 5 series....... to say I am excited would be a slight understatementComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
