    Evening all:hello:

I dont feel like im eating much MrsM but im supposed to stick to 18 WW points for the next few weeks and that really isnt a lot when you lokk at it - well not in comparison to what i can normally shift!!:rotfl:
I find it quite hard to have an evening meal cos they all seem to use up soooo many points. You seem to make lots of lovely HM dishes and bread and things. I work full time have 3 young children am always running out to footy training :footie: or swimming. My SC is filled ready for tomorrow but all my meals from it seem a bit the same even when i vary the ingredients so i cant use it every night.
    Today iv felt like this:EasterBun
But i had a snack a jack instead!! Id like to say it was as satisfying as chocolate but youd never believe me if i lied!!

    Today i ate
    b - branflakes and sultanas
    l - 6 crispbreads and half a tub of plain c Cheese
d - salad with a bit of cheese
also ate 2 s-a-jacks as snacks

Frogga, Taplady and Pigpen - :rotfl:My bed broke just before christmas but not cos of anything fun ;) Don't think I've broken any beds that way before...although I did have one at uni with squeaky coasters that moved along the floor :rotfl:

MrsM - I don't like brought potato salads either. They have way to many flavours thrown in for me usually. Plus I don't like skins on new potatoes much and they're high in salicylates.
I could happily drink maple syrup stright from the bottle. Absolutley love the stuff. When I was at Niagara falls I brought some maple syrup sweets. Took some serious will power not to eat the entire bag on the train journey back to NY!
Oh and I'm year of the rat!

Quick confession - Sister and her BF got pizza hut tonight and I finshed off three stuffed crusts (literally just the crusts of three slices not three whole stuffed crust pizzas!) that they couldn't manage. Apart from that tea was a small bowl of HM turkey and mushroom soup with a thin slice of bread and chicken dippers and oven chips...hardly ate any chips though as they weren't very nice. Was so stuffed after that I didn't manage pudding  Will have to have some of my summer pudding tomorrow. Mum said it was nice but a bit sharp (didn't add much sugar) so will probably be just right for me :D

Off to bed now. G'night all.

    Morning all :D

2.5 lbs off this week  so mission accomplished on the valentines challenge 9lbs gone :j ...and an overall total of 4st 8lbs :p ...So now im on to froggas fab feb challenge -only 3 weeks left mind and i would really like to lose 6lbs so i hit my 5st....but won't be upset if i don't make it as 2lb a week for 3 weeks is a bit much to hope for....

Off for my "walkies in a while" -only because i need spring onions mind :rotfl:

Saversarn.... as you say -its no doubt fluid retention, so don't beat yourself up -there is not much you can do to control that...and hopefully it will show as a bigger loss soon ;)

MHE... 18 points:eek: ..not a deal is it.. 1 "treat" can make a real dent in that can't it...
I know it sounds odd -but have you thought about using your points "backwards"? -you basically count your evening meal as your 1st meal of the day, so you can have a decent main meal -then the points you have left have to last you through brekkie and lunch the next day ;) -as it's much easier to eat less for those 2 meals -especially as you know that when you get home -you have a full 18 points to start on again...
As long as you are having 18points in 24hrs it doesn't matter which way round you use them....
Do you have any WW cook books? they do have some great recipes..... if not i can post some from the mags...obviously altering them slightly so im not breaking copy right :p ..
point free soups might be an idea... so you can zap a bowl in the micro to eat whilst you are sorting out the evening meal...will stave off hunger pangs and you would be satisfied with less main meal...
sugarfree jelly is another god send... i used to make it in individual dishes with a bit of fruit in the bottom and then add a dollop of fruity fromage frais when i was goin to eat it... quite a yummy pud and a good substitute for trifle
oh and have you tried getting french bread and ripping out some of the middle so it weighs less -that way you get a bigger chunk and more yummy crusty bit, and you can use the middle to make bread crumbs...
whacking in loads of swede into your mash so you get a decent portion , roasted veggies to bulk out main meals
can you tell who spent years as a WW member :rotfl:

Alibow- i love the skins on potatoes... very rare for me to peel them :p

morning frogga and all who aren't about yet :D

right off for my walk soon so had better get dressed -jiggly parmas not a good look :rotfl:
have a great day everyone, and good luck to those weighing in :D

  • Well done again MrsMC :T You'll soon be hitting that 5 stone mark. Was just reading back on the old thread yesterday and there was a post by you saying you'd now lost 1st 3lbs. Bet that seems a long way off now. ;)

Well I was dreaming I was cooking nearly all night. Shame it wasn't really or I'd have my freezers full by now. :p Feeling quite exhausted now, tho so will enjoy a couple of cuppas and a surf before doing my Friday routine of cleaning. :D

Saver - as was said, it'll be water. You've only just been saying how bad it was. Don't let it get you down. ;)

    Food today:

    Readybrek
Bierweist (?) sandwich with seedy bread
Ham, cheese & potato pasty with Baked beans.

Cheese & crackers (fri night treat) and satsumas and apple if hungry.

Going to whizz round and strip beds while the weather is lovely here and get them on the line before my surf I think. Think I'll have a wander around the garden too and do some more tidying up.
Isn't it lovely to have the birds singing their hearts out in the mornings again. :D

    Hi guys,

OK so the diet starts next week. I have generally been eating better for a few weeks now and I think the small changes have still made a difference though. Ive got the usual for lunch but am aiming to try something different next week. Its lean steak burgers and home made wedges for tea tonight with a green salad.

MrsC thanks for the tips, ive only once had mackerel so im not really familiar with it. Is the smoked stuff really stinky, I might have to slink to the staff room for lunch if I have that rather than sitting at my desk :o

To be honest my favorite meat is pork and I do particularly like wild boar, my mum used to do chicken constantly and im always eating it out so I dont eat it a huge amount. I just want some variation and find some healthier meats than things like beef or pork but still with a meaty taste. My favorite is toad in the hole but with fatty pork sausages it must be really bad. The cook yourself thin programme recommended venison sausages instead.

To be honest im quite a fan of vegetarian stuff but my boyf is fussy so at the weekends I tend to eat more meat.

Im off to buy some inspirational food either after lunch or after work but the budget is tight this month - !!!!!!ations!

Anyone know how I can use diced wild boar and not use too much fat, last time I cooked it I had cream and red wine with it:eek:

    Have a good day peeps:D

Today I will do some working out after house work, although Weds i did get to work out as my friends came to visit so when I did house work I took the childrens toys up stairs a few at a time so I had to climb the stairs a lot, it warmed me up to say the least lol.

Hi all. sorry i've been missing for a bit. Was very down at beginning of week (OH and stuff) so had fig rolls and sweets. Then weds eve was not well all night, stabbing pains in stomach. Felt rubbish all day yesterday. Was sick all last night too. Feeling better today - but like i've been completely run over :(

Not much food eaten yesterday (no breakfast, some lunch but no tea). No breakfast this morning - too scared I'll feel sick again - but have had a pack of plain crisps. Lunch will be - not sure. Tea will be omelette hopefully.

Lost some more weight but not sure that's the way I'd want to carry on :o
