By quite a margin... unusual indeed

Assuming we're both looking at the same links then the Maturity Winter RS and 2 Year Healthy Habits RS you can see are the ones that were launched in 2023. At one point they added 10 to the application links because in 2023 someone might have opened a savings account before it was launched.
Worth noting that I would strongly advise against opening accounts before they are launched given that last time deposits could not be made till the day it was actually launched and were dated the day of launch. Principality BS then sent emails on the day of launch saying they'd noticed the account had been open early but that they could use them now that the accounts had officially been launched.

I closed mine online (not on the app) using the close account option under "more" on the headers at top of the page. I entered the details of the RS account.
That was on Tues. This morning the account had disappeared off my accounts list so I immediately opened the new one. A couple of hours later the interest was paid.
I emptied the account prior to closing. I didn't put any instructions about interest due and so that automatically went to my linked account with Chase.
Hope that helps.

I have both Christmas 2026 and Principality 6 Month Regular Saver Issue 4. I want to know whether I can close both accounts and reopen them so to 'extend the term' ? or would this be a bit risky?0 -
Christmas 2026 is NLA so definitely not. Issue 4 should still work, accounts are generally about a week away when we know about them in advance via links being discovered.

The recent close and reopen chat was about Virgin Money, not Principality.

My Zopa reg saver matured today, looked into opening a new one.
Just noticed it’s for 6 months now.
A bit disappointing, this or hope for a principality issue 5.

As the Zopa RS is 7.10% AER (6.87% gross) variable for 6 months (£300), with the option to renew if available. The answer would be, it depends on what the interest rate the New Issue 5 PBS 6 month RS (£200?) is, which hopefully we will find out some time next week or if you have the funds, open both.

My Principality Issue 4 matures on the 28th of this month. Would the sensible thing to do be to close it now, open a new Issue 4 and then bag an Issue 5 too when it’s released?

Principality Issue 4
If the request is made before 3.30pm (on a business day) it will be closed on that same day.
