I'm getting a sense of deja-vu here!

Yes. I made payments to an external account and it all worked fine.

My sources are telling me Principality BS are due to launch a 6 Month Regular Saver Issue 5 in the near future, most likely at some point before the end of next week. No further details are available at this time.
For those who haven't yet opened issue 4, I would recommend doing so sooner rather than later.
They are also planning on launching issue 37 of their regular saver bond.

I've now done the final update on my list of Regular Saver Interest Rate Reductions Since BOE Base Rate Cut From 4% to 3.75% On 18/12/25.
Only two to my knowledge did not declare what they are doing with the interest rates on their savings accounts. These are Melton BS and our newest contender on the regular savers market, GB Bank, whose now NLA regular saver has been left untouched at 4%.
Following today's BOE Base Rate decision that list is now no longer being maintained.

Virgin Regular Saver.
Just tried to close mine, to refresh it, and we told on the chat that I can't use that method! I need to phone up or visit a branch.
Has it worked for other people?

Principality 6 Month Regular Saver Issue 5 release next week - hopefully the interest rate will as competitive as previous issues.
If T&C`s are similar to issue 4 then one can hold an issue 5 alongside an issue 4.
No late night weekend opening necessary!

You have to go some to outpace our General :)

I’m hopeful it will be at the same rate - the issue was replaced 3 months into the 6 (of launch day accounts) when they were cutting the rate. All other issues have been replaced shortly before the oldest accounts mature, as will be the case here.
I am more intrigued by the Maturity Winter (presumably an attempt to stop people trying to get multiple 6 monthers, as if you can only get it as a maturity account, you would pass up an account you qualified for if you attempted to get the (presumably higher headline rate) of an extra 6 Month. Maturity Winter 2023 was £125 max, but the Christmas RS has since increased to £150.Healthy Habits should be another £50 per month as with the previous version and hopefully fit nicely into a savings ladder.

Same issue as others closing VM Exclusive Regular 3 - forgot to zero the balance on Wednesday so had an email notifying me they couldn't complete the closure. Account now zeroed and form re-filled.
@ThePirates just do the form, they'll process it. The quirk is the Regular Savers are part of the same banking infrastructure as the VM current accounts (so have the same app / sort code / IT systems). Other Virgin Money savings accounts are still on a different platform so have a different closure process.
