No worries, to be honest things have quietened down a bit now, I'm just waiting for paper work to go through so I'm in something of a lull in terms of admin and it's only a 3 day week at work for me due to the bank holiday. Last week was very busy though.

By coincidence I'm compensating for the current lull by plotting a trip tomorrow to Kettering and Leicester to open their branch-exclusive accounts (on the way to a weekend holiday stay, I promise!).
Now the only question is whether it's worth getting to a Hanley branch on the way back 😄
That'll just leave Kent Reliance and a couple of NI accounts to complete the >5% collection…

I must confess once I've moved I'm seriously considering a trip to Northern Ireland to get hold of the AIB RS.

Sorry, wrong thread.
You need the Extreme Regular Savers thread.

😅😮🤐. I'm wondering if Saffron BS will be launching a new 12 month Members Loyalty RS @ £50 pm max soon, as the last one begins maturing in June. Albeit a very small monthly amount, it's been a great little RS to compound monthly interest @ 8%. That's still 5 weeks away. Isas will still be pushed through May before hopefully some inspiring interest rate RS start appearing, otherwise it'll be a case of renewing / refreshing those we already have; if we haven't already been doing that, and if they're still available 😯.

The AIB RS says it needs to be funded from a "AIB (NI) Current or Select Account" Is there a way to get an AIB current account without living in NI? because the classic current account says "Over 18s and NI residents only".

If you scroll further down that page you will see the answer…..
and that is if you do not live in N.I then you can apply if you are a UK resident (residing outside NI) but ONLY by appearing in person (with all your ID!) at a branch in N.I.

By coincidence it seems that Market Harborough are in the process of refreshing the 31st March 2027 Fixed Term Regular Saver, replacing it with a similar account maturing im 30th June 2027. Not sure if this has shown up on their website as branch staff were finding out in real-time on their online account opening software as they tried to open an account for me.
They handed me a paper form for the prior issue but when setting up the account their central systems only show the new version as available.
If I'd have come up yesterday, and then back again next week on the way home, I might have had both issues! Not sure if the T&C's allow both issues of Fixed Term Regular Saver to be held concurrently - I had to dash for a train so no time to read them!

- Save between £10 – £250 a month
- Open in branch
- Annual interest
- Your funds will be available to you the first day after maturity.
- Even with a penalty early withdrawals are not allowed
Helpful reminder
- Customers may hold a maximum of two Fixed Term Regular Saver accounts at any time either solely or jointly, with a maximum deposit of £250 per month into each.

Also the chap in the branch mentioned if MHBS were to issue a limited edition Regular Saver it would be possible to hold and maximally fund both concurrently. He said this unprompted but I wasn't sure if it was a subtle hint at things to come or just part of their standard new account opening script (he seemed to be quite new). So fingers crossed!
