Fd
Always been that way. I've been with Fd for 5 years and always had my Rs open immediately after the old one had been cancelled. Plus if you need it done faster you can have the money moved immediately by messaging them. Not a single change in the last 5 years, usual timings and absolute quick and professional service texting or calling them

Re Saffron…
If I've remembered correctly, their members regular saver last year required membership for 1 year +. If they do that again I'll miss out, as I snapped up their 4.5% ISA a couple of months back so won't qualify as a newbie for any "refer a friend" accounts. Oh well.
While it's quiet here…
It's possible that Virgin Money's regular saver has fallen by the wayside after their merger with Nationwide. They have usually offered a new issue every 3 months and it's been available to open for a month before being withdrawn. It was available in May last year, last available in February, hasn't appeared again this month.

Yes, correct with Saffron Membership requirements of 1 year+ . It's usually the same conditions for any Member Loyalty accounts that are offered, so I've opened an easy access or equivalent account with most banks / building society's now for membership rights to those exclusives, and all accounts hold £1. Don't get me wrong, I too have also missed out in the past 😕 and learnt my lesson quickly 😅😅.

Hasn't always been that way. I've been with them longer than five years.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2 -
Mansfield B.S.
MILESTONE SAVER R.S.
Hello.
I have just opened this account (it being my first postal application RS). And now have my passbook and cheque deposited. So everything looks OK.
I also applied for online registration earlier today, but on receiving an email to confirm that the online registration will take 3 working days, it stated that I CAN'T DO ANY TRANSACTION ONLINE
I was under the impression that after an initial postal/branch opening, l could then bank transaction into this account. I set up a nominated account while registering for online access.
If this is the case, sending a cheque monthly isn't really worth the cost or effort to me. I'm only going to be putting smallish amounts into this account.
I'm sure other people have initially opened this account via postal application and then funded online?

@ Bob2000 - You will be able to see the account online and view your nominated account, but you won't be able to make withdrawls online. You can send money to the Mansfield Milestone RS electronically from your nominated bank account upto £500 max per month, SO(s) or manually for the full amount or different amounts. There is no online option to use 'connect bank' to deposit into the Milestone RS account directly / immediately.
Funding details: (Barclays)
Sort Code: 20-55-70
Bank Account Number: 10613185
REFERENCE BOX: YOUR MILESTONE RS ACCOUNT NUMBER
I send a SO every month to my Mansfield Milestone RS without issue 😅😉.

I have both the Mansfield BS - My Milestone Regular Saver and Bonus Regular Saver, they are both passbook, BUT both appear online, and you can pay into them using faster payments from your nominated bank account - I assume that message "CAN'T DO ANY TRANSACTION ONLINE" means you can not transfer funds between accounts.
Withdrawal requires postal instructions along with passbook and then a cheque is issued! - although I am hoping that they might transfer internally to another Mansfield account rather than post a cheque.

Yes - you can fund it by direct bank online transfer - I've been doing it with no issues.
I think withdrawals have to be by post with you submitting the passbook

I'm having issues with logging into my Chorley RS account & wondering if anyone else has had similar. I opened the account on Sunday logged in and funded with £1 as a test amount. Tried to log in on Monday and got 'We were unable to log you in at this time. Either some of the details you provided were incorrect or your User ID has been suspended'
Today I reset the password and was able to log in. Tried again a few hours later and was locked out again😖. I've had this sort of thing with cynergy and Virgin but I now use mobile apps for those accounts thus bypassing the problem.
I know I should phone them but it's not even a freephone number and for a 5% interest rate I cant be bothered with all this messing around! Has anyone had similar and managed to resolve it, or shall I just ditch the account?

I had a similar situation shortly after opening a 2-yr regional rs with Chorley - initially logging in was a nightmare, but I emailed them - they called back and I got new login details emaied to me… never had a problem since.
