TBH, I'm not too hopeful, either 😕 - Primarily because there seems to be a push on Fixed Rate Bonds since the beginning of the week, so that's May taken up, saving offers wise. But you never know…….
I've already opened a variable term savings account with Saffron BS a couple of months ago, which holds £1 to keep membership, just to cover myself if Saffron BS decide to launch a Loyalty Members RS or anything Loyalty Member based, at a later date.

You should be able to get them to roll over the Member's Month Loyalty Saver into a Small Saver RS, rather than needing to open a new account. This would also preserve the oldest account opening date.

Yes, it is worth staying. Historically Saffron offered decent RS rates and more recently Loyalty products, so there is a good chance they will in future.

Yes but Savings Week is in June and Saffron historically have participated in that with descent headline rates albeit for small monthly limited amounts, roll on June

My First Direct reg saver has vanished, I just applied for a new one.
All sorted. Nice and simple, they are getting better.

Savings Week is usually in September and it is for 2026. 21st - 27th Sept, 2026.
However, Saffron BS did run a Savers 'Members' Month' in June, 2025, so here's hoping we see the same again this year just to get the new RS ball rolling, if nothing else😉.

Fd
Always been that way. I've been with Fd for 5 years and always had my Rs open immediately after the old one had been cancelled. Plus if you need it done faster you can have the money moved immediately by messaging them. Not a single change in the last 5 years, usual timings and absolute quick and professional service texting or calling them

Re Saffron…
If I've remembered correctly, their members regular saver last year required membership for 1 year +. If they do that again I'll miss out, as I snapped up their 4.5% ISA a couple of months back so won't qualify as a newbie for any "refer a friend" accounts. Oh well.
While it's quiet here…
It's possible that Virgin Money's regular saver has fallen by the wayside after their merger with Nationwide. They have usually offered a new issue every 3 months and it's been available to open for a month before being withdrawn. It was available in May last year, last available in February, hasn't appeared again this month.

Yes, correct with Saffron Membership requirements of 1 year+ . It's usually the same conditions for any Member Loyalty accounts that are offered, so I've opened an easy access or equivalent account with most banks / building society's now for membership rights to those exclusives, and all accounts hold £1. Don't get me wrong, I too have also missed out in the past 😕 and learnt my lesson quickly 😅😅.

Hasn't always been that way. I've been with them longer than five years.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?2
