The only trouble is that unlike normal easy access accounts, if you withdraw a largish amount it takes time to top it back up

I mean there Is a thing which some people have alluded to on here that isn't mentioned as being allowed in the t and c's of the account but has been known to work but I wouldn't probably run the risk at the moment , although I got away with it once. Sorry, I've mentioned the Scottish play.....

RBS/NatWest RS's
I've reduced both mine to £10 each to keep them open as have decided may as well keep the money in my Plum Flexible ISA paying 4.6% which by my reckoning equates to more the interest rate, minus tax, in both RS's (I have been over the £1000 threshold the last couple years)
As to withdrawing and replacing same month it worked for me a number of times but also failed a couple. Perhaps needed the green shirt I used to wear when renewing certain 6 monthly RS's

Yes, but for some, the system began to get time sensitive. In my experience, returned within 24 hours, or it was a no go. Perhaps, I got flagged somewhere along the line…..

I probably need at this point to come out, Banksy like, as the originator of the green shirt theory, then perhaps give it's use a go again myself with Natwest and RBS. In terms of the time sensitive 24 hour theory, I withdrew over a weekend and paid back in on the Monday but over 24 hours later and it didn't bounce back!

Weekend transactions are dated as the next working day for Natwest/RBS, so that could be why it worked

Am sure someone (possibly Brid) may be able to tell us if this is the longest period we've not had the launch of an absolute top RS.
In the 20 odd years I've been collecting them and lurking over numerous threads on here I can't remember such a dearth.
Please don't anyone spend too much time on investigating but it just feels ( or possibly my memory is letting down) that way.
Stay well everyone

Depends on our definitions, Mansfield BS's My Milestone Saver at 6% was relaunched on 5/5/26, that's made it to joint 7th of the RSs open to all.
However if you exclude relaunches and exclude those which launch a new issue every month but state you can only hold one of any issue, then you'd have to go back to 7th April 2026 before the launch of Suffolk BS's pair of fixed rate regular savers at 4.9%, before that Principality at 5% on 26th March and Dudley at 5.5% on 23rd March.
Regardless though last month we had our longest recorded "true gap" between new eligible RSs being launched as we went 8th April to 30th April inclusive without any new RSs being launched, or a gap of 22 days, the previous record was 15 days set in November 2025.
