    @janusd

    Thanks for the correction … the RS gets converted to another RS rather than an EA. I am going to treat it like an EA, in that I intend to leave a £1 in and make no more payments. 1.40% instead of 2.10% …. both pants rates, but retains the foot-in-the-door 💤

    Hinkley - will also be ringing on Monday. We both got our activation codes today. I tried to log in to the account and it is not recognizing my memorable word so I need to ring Hinkley to reset it (back to what it is now already!) OH also tried tolog into his account and its not recognizing his password. He has asked for a passcode to be sent to his email address so he can reset and its not arriving. This suggests a fault at their side for both of us to be having issues - I have all of the log in details in front of me in readiness for the activation codes ….

    I've still got the original Principality Learner Earner account open to keep membership, although I think the interest rate on it is currently 4.4%, so not worth the bother of keeping more than £1 in it!

    Hinkley & Rugby- entering activation codes.

    Did you use Log In or Register? It needs to be Register until the codes have been entered. One of their representatives mentioned it to me in the passing.

    Yes I was def using the register section. 1st page asks for name, DOB and postcode. The second page asks for your username/username and password - I typed these in as I know some websites don't like C&P - tried both email and username. I am wondering now if it wants me to do a password reset each time I log in which could get annoying. Anyway I will ring on Monday …

    Hinckley & Rugby

    I received my activation code by post last Thursday. I activated my user account successfully.

    The procedure I used was to choose "Login", then enter the username and password. After that the prompt for the activation code was displayed.

    I only used the "Register" option at the first step, to start the process to generate the letter with the activation code.

    H&R

    I've had the passbook and the Telephone Security request (which I haven't sent back yet, is this really necessary, another 91p stamp), but haven't had any website/activation information. Is that dependant on sending in the Telephone Security info?

    Have you completed the "Register" step for H&R online? They will only post the activation code after you've submitted that.

    Once the account is activated, you can send the telephone security code by a secure message while logged in to your online account.
