I wonder whether the difference between receiving funds today or not receiving funds today has something to do with maturity instructions. I've received my full funds today, having requested full closure. OH's account remains open with full balance still showing in that, but instructions differed in that the account was to be kept open with £1, with the balance going to nominated account.

as posted a few pages back, there isn't a max balance stated with the Furness 160th - so an 11th payment should be possible, though it was previously posted that it wouldn't generate much additional interest (tens of pence).

Furness 160th Anniversary Regular Saver
There was no maximum balance for this account, so no reason not to make an 11th deposit in November.

I gave maturity instructions over the phone last Friday so I might have been one of the first in the queue to be paid.

Very pleased.

West Bromwich winter ready
Just checked and the interest has not been added on today yet.
Yorkshire Christmas saver
But the interest has been added to this one - a huge £34.11. It is still showing as 5% so I've not done the withdrawal which can wait . I expect that the rate will drop on Sunday and then I can start the close down.
But while I was in the account I also pondered about the Yorkshire loyalty saver which is only paying 4.85% but still marginally above my easy access account. It matures in May 2027 which is a month when I should be flush with funds (as opposed to November 2027 when I quite possibly wont). It may be time to axe YBS loyalty which will release more funds for the December 2026 standing orders. Then at the end of November if there have been absolutely no new regular savers announced I can reopen YBS loyalty if its still available as a better-then-nothing account. I have ongoing YBS easy access with a few pounds in to keep my loyalty status so that's not an issue if I do reopen YBS loyalty.
The google chart is now littered with reminder notes!

West Brom Winter Ready savings account
Are people forgetting about the prize draw, which requires the account to be open on 31st October 26?
Or perhaps just not interested in it…?

this is the reason I’ve left mine to run into an EA account to ensure that I’m in the draw.

Principality
Are you opening a new one or giving it a miss? Mine matures Monday and undecided at 5.25%, the Christmas saver is not really that attractive.
