Anybody been asked to change their password when they log into their account?

Yes every time I login.
I just close the page, the click login again and it lets you in straight away.

I get it all the time, I just press back and then forward and click the home button. It lets me get in without changing it. Melton BS's is a different matter though.

You'd need to send the passbook in, but I seem to recall some people have been successful in sending in a completed application form in the post for a new RS along with their passbook for the old account and a note saying they wish to close the old account with £500 transferred to the new account and the rest being sent to them by cheque.

Seen this on this following thread RBS/Natwest Switch Offer. The boosted interest rate of 7% seems to have been withdrawn on the 28th April and not the 28th May as initially seen in the T&Cs. Switch offer is withdrawn from both RBS and Natwest
Sorry if this was discussed on the thread, but haven't seen it here myself, the offer is still currently showing on page 1 of this thread and on the MSE Regular savings accounts 2026: Earn up to 7.1% page.

Can somebody remind me how to renew Lloyd's Halifax and BOS regular savers in the app. I've done it before but now can't work it out!!!

you “renew” your existing RS into an easy access savings account, from which you can withdraw your funds to wherever you want. Log out, log in again, and apply for a new RS. Though people have recently problems at BOS with it. Do it at your own risk.

Think the 'renew' functionality is only available online, not in the app.
